It is stale gist that Nigeria is facing the worst economic down turn, even as the naira continues in an unsteady pace, the rise and fall of our beloved currency is disheartening, frightening development that requires urgent approach .

It is our collective effort to diversify the economy, #BuyNaijaProduct to grow the naira. The large appetite for foreign product is one of the challenges bedeviling this ailing economy, we must curb our appetite for foreign Gucci, Amani, etc.

As a true and patriotic Nigerian it saddens me when I see women on the road under the scorching sun, hawking fresh tomatoes that are healthy and my fellow Nigerians are walk past them to a super-market to buy canned tomatoes with preservatives for God knows how long it’s been on the shelf .We are all guilty of this, Some will go to shop-rite and big stores and will not bargain the fixed and exorbitant price, but will see a mother under the hot sun and beat down her goods to oblivion.
It is imperative that we look inwards, we need to stop the act of flattering our Nigerian artist wearing foreign shoes, cloths hat, jewelries, etc. It is time to call a “A spade A spade”.

We need to sensitize our local manufacturer on the need to use quality materials in manufacturing their product,
I was stunned when I heard in the news yesterday that a Nigerian travelled to Sudan, and requested for the best electrical switch, he was surprised when an Igbo made electrical switch was given to him, and the seller confirmed that that is still the best in the market.

We should also learn to value our products, up-sell and cross-sell our local contents to other countries.

Nigeria is blessed with hard working people aside from its natural resources that is being pillaged every day, its citizens are gifted and very innovative, out-side the shores of the countries, Nigerians hold key positions .

Thousands of unemployed Graduates roam the streets after service, the reason is because their minds have been programmed to work for people, coupled with the fact that our educational system is faulty (a lot of theories, but little or no practical’s),most causes in Nigerian have no market for graduate when they are done with their national youth service programs. Look at japan for instance, at age 12, a child is thought a trade which make himself reliant and also grants him the opportunity to
Employ labor. We need to change our min-set. #BuyNaijaProduct to grow the naira, East, West, home is the best. Be a patriotic citizen today buy made in Nigeria product.
