It is a kind of plant. It is basically a vegetable. Vegetables are of different types and species in our country. This species of herbaceous plant is called red spinach. This red spinach has a scientific name or binomial name that is Amaranthas genetics.
This red spinach is produced in large quantities in our Bangladesh and India in Asia and this red spinach is one of our favorite vegetables. We have a lot of fun eating this red spinach.
These red spinach leaves we eat as vegetables. However, when this red spinach becomes very ripe, we use its stalk as a curry and it is great to chew the stalk and eat the juice.
Chewing the stalk is very beneficial because it contains vitamins. If you want to eat red spinach as a vegetable, you have to eat it when you are young, then it will take a great test.
Vegetables are mainly a winter vegetable but this winter crop is now always available year round. The whole spinach is dark red in color and turns red when cooked.
Moreover, when we eat it smeared with white rice, we see that the rice has turned completely red. This red spinach plant is not very big but it can be estimated that it is about 8-12 cm.
