Praise! And what it does.

KJV:And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the children of the Korhites, stood up to praise the Lord God of Israel with a loud voice on high.

KJV:For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another.

There's something that happens when you praise God wholeheartedly and sincerely.
 Praise is an expression of admiration,honour, Thanksgiving, gratitude and appreciation to God.Praise is not just an act,it is an act of the heart which expresses and explains how much a person loves and values God.True Praise is rendered in both in good times and bad times,when it is evident that God has done something remarkable or significant and when it appears as if there is no God or that God is silent.The Psalmist said 'I will enter His gate with Thanksgiving in my heart;I will enter His court with praise.Praise is a prove that you love God.It shows how much you value God.It shows how much you trust God.A woman came to Jesus appealing to Him to heal her daughter.Jesus didn't respond to her plea.Then she did something.She came and worshipped Him,and then instantly He responded.Praise is an invitation to God calling on Him to do more.What happened to the one leper that returned to give God praise? He wasn't just healed as the others,but he was made completely whole.Praise triggers the presence of God and stimulates Him to exhibit His power.
 In our text,King Jehoshaphat was faced with a battle bigger than himself and he said ability.Rather than go around looking for stronger Kings to help him,he turned around and organized praise singers unto God.The result is recorded below.
   
    " And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.
   For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another."
    God literally took up their fight,and this recorded the first time in history that a king defeated a number of Kings joined together.God broke a record and set a new one just because quality praise reached Him from and instantly He responded to them in a way that marveled men.
  The same way God will respond to your you if you can render to Him quality praise.
