"Medium" - First Published Article

in #blog6 years ago (edited)

I've been curious about Medium for quite some time now. I've heard nothing but good things about the quality of the platform's content, however, it took me a while to delegate the time needed to investigate it.

For the last week or so, I've been getting to know the site and just this morning I purchased the $5/month subscription. Having now spent some time digging through the articles and categories, I'll say this: so far I'm pretty impressed.

My first published article to Medium went live this morning and I'm planning on doing a daily (or semi-daily) freewrite-style submission to my new profile.

If you're interested in checking out the latest article, and experiencing what Medium is like, I linked the screenshot below up—give it a click and it will take you straight there:

If any of you Steemians are also active on Medium or if you know some follow-worthy content creators over there, reach out to me in the comments—it'd be good to make some friends on both sides of the aisle.

Great job! Would love to know a bit more about this. Hope it's not rude to ask, did they pay you to publish your writing?

No, they didn't. I wrote that as an "unsolicited," self-published piece; but Medium does pay its writers. Here's a quick article about becoming a paid-contributor to Medium: https://help.medium.com/hc/en-us/articles/115011694187

Thanks for responding. No shade on not being paid - I'd unfortunately be willing to write for free. "For the experience" huh.

Thanks for the link :)
