An Unforgettable Journey: Parramatta River Sydney
Then someone told me if you take Sydney transport on weekends then travel as much as you like and it will cost you AU$2.60 for the entire day.
My wife and I took this chance on the first weekend and started our journey from Paramatta ferry station and reached Sydney Circular Bay.
On our way, we stopped at different ferry stations and took the next available ferry to the next stop. The ferries depart every half hour from Parramatta so we stayed at each of these places for half an hour and then took the next for the next stop. That was fun for free.
Finally, we arrived in Manly and were greeted by beautiful restaurants and bars on the wharf. We saw a couple of big boats and this trip never fails to erase from our memories.
It was fun to have a drink at a Circular Bay restaurant and watch aboriginal artists performing for tips. We watched the ferries come and go and gazed at the Sydney Opera House in the distance but we had decided to visit this place at the earliest.
We didn't know that when we boarded a ferry but we saw as our ferry glided past one of the most underrated suburbs in Sydney the Parramatta had so much to offer on both of its banks but mostly on the left side since on the right it was wetland and vast jungle of trees.
A journey on the Parramatta River is quite different from any other ferry ride in Sydney. The journey between the Parramatta and Sydney CBD takes 1h. 20m. because we took a normal ferry but a fast ferry takes less than one hour.
So on our way to Circular Bay we stopped at most of these:
Rydalmere
Chiswick
Kissinpoint
Adbosfort
Cabarita
Medowbank
Huntleys Point
Then Sydney Olympic Park
And finally Circular Quay
We missed a couple of stations since it was raining on and off.
We wanted to go to Darling Point and Double Bay to Rose Bay, but that was enough for the day so we came back to continue our journey on Sunday.
Olympic Park is one of the most visited for boating enthusiasts, and a popular hangout for young and old couple that come here to spend time for boating, feasting and the favorite time pass of Australians the beer bars.
This ferry stoppage gave us a nice opportunity for a picnic in the waterside park. That was a day when I regretted having given up non-vegetarian food because every station had seafood restaurants where we could taste various seafood.
We spent a lot of time at Olympic Park with wonderful views. It was a scenic trip, and as an added bonus, the ferry wharf is also the starting point of AU$ 2.60 each We wish we could stay overnight at one of these wharves but that happened at a later stage.
I invite @josepha, @muzack1 and @dexsyluz to post in this contest.

Thanks for taking your time to read and comment!
