Commonwealth & Acton Park, Lake Burley Griffin, Canberra
The place where I am standing right now is the Park entrance to Lake Burley Griffin, which has wonderful gardens and tourist attractions.
I have written about the famous Floriade festival, which is close to this place, and I have written about the drone show on Australia Day, which also takes place at the same place. This park is a lovely place to spend time with family and friends.
It is not just a green park but has a lot of other activities. Acton Park is at Lake Burley Griffin in Canberra and is one of the top attractions for the visitors and locals of Australian capital.
As you can see, this park has a collection of she-oak trees and different species of willow and poplar, amidst which visitors enjoy various tourist activities.
This place Henry Roland Park is a popular place for swimming on the banks of Lake Burley Griffin, where you feel extra attraction. Here the administration has made adequate arrangements for your safety.
At this place you can see that e-scooters are available for you, but most of the visitors and tourists use their bikes or walk, jog, and run.
Acton Park is a major tourist destination in the city center of Canberra, which is on the banks of Lake Burley Griffin and is man-made and whose maximum depth is 17.6 meters and average depth is four meters, in which the shallowest part is 1.9 meters.
Every morning and evening you can take around 20 km on this loop trail of Canberra, which usually takes a little more than 4 hours to complete on average.
And not only walkers come here, but there is a good number of birdwatchers and bikers.
As far as the place is concerned, it is open all year round and is beautiful to visit at any time. People come here with their dogs, but they must be on leashes.
When I am in Canberra, I do as the locals do. I sometimes take long walks around Lake Burley Griffin, but today I didn't do the entire walk as I am not in the right shape but walked about 10 km.
The area has cafes, parks, and other facilities for walkers, runners, and cyclists and includes barbecues, and it doesn't require you to spend anything as it's free.
Another of my favorite notable attractions is the place where you can do your favorite exercises.
Acton Park The beautiful setting of this park is used for various national celebrations.
Tourists and locals come to this area to cycle and walk on the coastal paths. Visitors can picnic, fish, boat, and do other activities in the park. At night Canberra residents gather here to walk around the lake and watch the glittering city lights.
Here you have a globe sculpture depicting the Captain Cook Memorial Route at Regatta Point, which is located on the lake's travel route.

There is so much more to see near this park and the lake which comes to you in my future posts.
Note: Acton Park Car parking is closed temporarily due to Light Rail Project but there is enough parking lots in the area.
I try to avoid clicking at visitors while taking pictures.

This are really cool places to be. I want to participate in this steem atlas contest, I’ve some old photos of some places I visited in the past but I don’t know how u guys pin the location to the steem atlas map..
There are number of posts by Atlas Ambassadors that will tell you how to pin your post on Atlas. I am sure it's easy once you know the process. Being a traveler I enjoy doing posts on travel and I am sure you would love as much once you pin your first post successfully.
Another wonderful addition to the map. I always wonder how these guys keep these public places this clean and tidy. Amazing and beautiful!
This artificial lake is one of the most visited places in Canberra but that with low population, strict rules and proper care every thing remains well maintained. And that's true for every place in entire Australia.
