One Picture And One Story Week #58: Simplicity of Nature
This place in the lap of nature gives me such an eternal message beyond the boundaries of country, time, language, and era, which even today seems as fresh and relevant in my mind as if I were there yesterday.
I feel that when we are in such a place, then apart from being a bit philosophical, we also become thinkers, naturalists, and social reformers. We feel that what we are doing to our environment is very bad. Environment lovers who are also nature lovers find the meaning of their lives in places like these.
Believe me, when I was going towards Auckland, after reaching this place, I felt like building a hut and settling down on the banks of Lake Wanaka situated near this mountain but I wish it were possible.
I have traveled in the forests because I wanted to live a life of contemplation, I have wandered many times in the Himalayan heights because I wanted to face the essential facts of life. I have walked long distances along the river banks because I wanted to see if I could learn life's lessons.
Perhaps I realized that I had not lived life the way I wanted to live. Perhaps I wanted to delve deeper into the truths of life. Perhaps this was the reason that to fulfill this purpose, I started a road trip from Queenstown and reached Mountain Cook via the banks of Lake Wanaka.
Do you know why I want to build my hut in this place? It's a very picturesque place on a hill slope covered with snow and forests, so a hut here where the view of the lake would easily refresh me.
Do you want to know what I would eat here? I would grow beans, corn, peas, black, blue, and other berries.
I plan to hire a shared tourist space here in Queenstown and become part of the local community because this place plans to make its environment carbon-zero shortly. Just imagine when my place is experiencing an AQI of over 300; this place has just 3 or 4 at the moment and soon will touch 0.
I hope to experience the best moments of my life in the lap of nature at this place. I close my eyes and imagine the time when the silence of the afternoon in this place would prevail under the cloudy sky, the music of the winds would echo from one end to the other, the lake would seem most beautiful and the snow on this mount more shiny.
To be frank, I am in love with simple living and keeping my desires to the minimum. So when I see Mount Cook, the highest mountain in New Zealand, I don't consider it to be a popular tourist destination, but a destination as my favorite challenge for mountain climbing. I have stayed in the forests to face such challenges.
My whole idea is to make my life simple, straightforward, yet challenging, I see only one remedy for this, a place where there is no pollution and lots of challenges to take the bull by the horns yet live a peaceful life.
We know to make a strong economy, our society has to sacrifice the simplicity of life and achieve a high goal. But at the same time, man is on the path of destruction. People think that the truth is that we can achieve that with high-rise buildings turning the landscape into a jungle of concrete, but when you come to places like the one shown in this picture, you realize there is much more than the life we have in polluted cities.
I wish to go to this place, which I consider situated far away from the world I am living in, but this world I consider is situated at the other end, far beyond the noisy, polluted, and ugly scenes I am living in.
I feel places like these provide the opportunities to live in a place with the greatest form and provided by God almighty himself. I hope to spend my life here with my determination to live in nature.
In the end, let us all stand firmly, laying our foundation on the reality of life, so the meaning of life may change.
For the conscious development of life, we should place special emphasis on simplicity in a divine world. But to learn something like this, we have to stand on our toes; we have to devote our attention to purity and simplicity in our thoughts and experience the most conscious and alert moments of life.
With this final word on the banks of the lake and the mount, I say farewell from here and move towards the next stage of life. I believe the precious moments spent in the lap of nature on the banks of Lake Wanaka and Mount Cook will always remain in my mind.
