SEC-S5:W2 - Let's Talk About Animals.

People’s reasons for keeping pets are peculiar to them just as people prefer different animals for a pet. My favorite animal to keep as a pet is a cat. .Cats for me are cool and cute and can be very bold and innocent . it didn’t always start smoothly as I wasn’t really a cat person growing up , I just saw cats as sinister or associated with witchcraft , which s a pretty popular belief in my country.

HOW KITTY CAME TO OUR HOME

So this stray cat came to my house and was hanging around, refusing to return to its original owners, and when I met the owners , the insisted that I keep them because the cat always finds its way away from their house. I ended up keeping the cat and not long after it gave birth to three cute little kittens , those kittens were so adorable and I and my siblings ended up sharing them amongst ourselves , I named mine kitty.We do take care of them and make sure they are well fed and all. Some of the reasons people neglet there is being busy in the workplace and not having someone at home to take care of the , most offices and employs here don’t allow pets in the workplace.

ANIMALS IN A STREET SITUATION

I know a couple dogs that are living on the streets without owners or ran from their owners. Currently there is no foundation that caters for street or stray pets and there is currently no signs of any organization taking that up anytime soon as even the humans needs to be taken care of because of the high poverty rate in my country.

A STORY ABOUT A DOG I MET

Pets can leave a very memorable first impression on peopl e and my experience with this pet definitely left one such impression.

I met this dog, called spark , at my friend’s , and although I’m not a dog person , the kind of warm reception I receive from this pet has a way of livening my mood and making me smile, I absolutely value it and plan to start keeping dogs in the future.

There was this moment hat I was so bored and felt lonely so I visited this friend and the dog greeted me welcome and was all over my body , we ended up playing catch me if you can and I felt very good that day .

1 Liveliness: keeping pets helps to.make the home lively and Lively and like I stated earlier can help boost ones mood . Studies has shown that people that keeps pets tends to be happier than people who don't.

2 Security and Safety : keeping pets helps to keep the house safe .For instance keeping dogs can wade of thieves or burglars or at least notify people of suspecious activities through barking .

3 Accidental attacks : Some pets , like dogs , can at some point accidentally attack hildren and even owners .
