When we started to think about Dreams of the Ocean for the very first time we couldn't even imagine what an impact it was supposed to have one day.

The initial idea was to prove that a cryptocurrency is effectively able to change the world.

We couldn't know that this approach was actually going to change ourselves forever.

What started as an experiment has become one of the most touching experiences of our lives. How could we know that giving was able to provide so much joy, that putting a smile on someone's face was able to become the ultimate driver to push our project forward?

Today we'd like to thank everybody who's been contributing to make that one dream come true.

Here's our way to say: Thank you, Steem!

Building new sand castles

At Steemfest³ something unexpected and truly mind-blowing happened.

He had been listening to @starkerz' mentioning @dreamsoftheocean in his @oracle-d presentation, and the idea of leveraging Steem in order to do good had absolutely amazed him.

$2,500 dollars in Steem would surely be the ideal basis in order to finance our plans for 2019. - @surfermarly replied

And then @steemcafe left and started to promote the project among the Steemfest attendees. Two hours later he came back with a list of those steemians who had confirmed donating to the cause, including himself.
