Betterlife with steem:06/04/2021: Acts of Kindness [Free outreach medical camp: free medicines and free lab tests for all ]

Today after getting up at 8:00 a.m. in the morning, while I was lying in the bed, I called my mom to get ready, as I had to take her for gynaecological consultation. She was initially reluctant because of bad weather. It has been heavily raining here since yesterday night. Finally I conveyed her and she got ready. I than woke up, freshened up, had breakfast and took my mom for gynaecological consultation. We left home at 9:15 a.m. and reached hospital at 10:00 a.m. Good thing is that, there was no rush in that hospital. So we were free by 10:30 a.m.

i then paid visit to market and purchased some eatables for home. I handed them over to my mother and my driver dropped me at duty. I told her to drop my mom back home and come for picking me up after I finish my duty.

Last week we had medical camp but that was in rural area of district adjoining my home district and that camp was sponsored by me and my friend on our own expenses. Todays camp was sponsored by Urban Health Mission ( A centrally sponsored scheme of our government ) and it was in a town so it was meant for urban people who do not have easy access to medical facilities. So this camp was sponsored by our department and we were only supposed to consult patients. The medicine and lab tests werefrom our department.

For this camp we had two gynecologists and two physicians including me. I was a bit late but the camp was already going on. There was already rush of patients and everything was being taken care of by our staff there. As I reached, i too Got busy with consulting patients till 4 p.m. we had consulted more than 350 patients and dispensed all the medicine that was available with us from department. All we ended up getting is the prayers from patients and that is what we needed.

By 4 p.m. we left and we headed towards our home. It was heavily raining at that time too. I first had to drop one of my employees at bus station as he was not having his own car. Then I straight away headed towards my home. I was feeling too cold, so I took a cup of tea and then a wrapped blanket, turned on blower and took a nap for a while. I woke up at about 7 p.m. god busy with my official work till dinner. After dinner I went to see my grandmother as she is old now and this is my routine to visit her after dinner and to check whether she has taken all the medicine that she is on. Then I came back to my room and started writing this diary. Now I shall get busy with my work again.
