Oh, there is a necessity in writing, penning my thoughts, journaling or whatnot – for how else will I capture the moment as it passes; what happens if I should forget those minute details, or worse, what if I forget that moment – to be gone like an exhale on a cold morning?

It is singular how soon we lose the impression of what ceases to be constantly before us. A year impairs, a luster obliterates. There is little distinct left without an effort of memory, then indeed the lights are rekindled for a moment — but who can be sure that the Imagination is not the torch-bearer? ~Lord Byron

A forest walk amongst the trees
Guided by the gentlest breeze
Leaves emerging, reaching for sun
Shading my roots, deep still in the earth
Until
This day
My tall, sturdy knight
Continuously standing
Through my seasons of life
Felled in a storm in this world I had created
An all-knowing sense
Of truth, as I know it

Littering the Earth

It is always and forever a pleasure to spend some time with some of my favorite people as we share our walks with each other. The idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. This will be my entry for #WednesdayWalk with @Tattoodjay. You can find his entry and an explanation of the rules suggestions for the challenge. You will find it here I will be taking my walk through a forest near my house today. Oh, come on! Walk like an Egyptian. You know you want to.

The floors are woven with the matting of the ferns, unfurling their foliage, all the while looking like a top of a fiddle.

There are diverse habitats available for walking in this area. I live amongst field and forest and they are equal distance from my house, almost. The serenity lives in both, the water whispering through the trees.

Traces of nature lay unspoiled, on pause, waiting for the day to begin.

There must be an act of kindness and beauty that belongs to this day alone. Seize the moment...for the cost of kindness is free. Sow it like wildflowers, cast your moment and let it grow. Oh, to be touched by the hand of it. Once you get it, it is hard not to give it. Again and again.

You can't have everything. But you can have a #WednedayWalk! And just like that, this post is over. Thank you for taking the time to come with me. There is nothing quite as refreshing as getting up and out early, seeing what the day has to offer!
