#ULOG 2: The 5th SteemGigs Discord Talk Show, Successful Despite the Disruption

I love you Karen.

I went home around 10 p.m. tonight. I played basketball with some friends and some acquaintances. We lost the first game but we took care of the second one. I substituted one player and we won again, a come-from-behind win, that was the last game of the night. We sweat a lot while playing, there was no movement of air. I was a bit tired but I am happy that I played because I’m not getting more exercise these days.

It’s already late but I’m not yet sleepy, maybe because of the energy drink that I consumed. Anyway, I decided to make this #ulog to discuss the 5th SteemGigs Discord Talk Show.

The SteemGigs Discord Talk Show has been a habit for the regular attendees of the show and there are some new ones flocking in. @sn0white asked me multiple times if there will be a talk show but I cannot affirmed it. She asked me to constantly check @surpassinggoogle’s account if there’s a new post regarding the talk show but there’s none. Sir Terry’s reason is understandable, the important thing is he will be present in the show.

Last night was the 5th SteemGigs Discord Talk Show. I am always present in all shows, I love to observe and listen to what @surpassinggoogle has to say. I like it whenever he discusses the current situation of the Steemit community and all that stuffs.

I was already inside the SteemGigs general chat room before 12 a.m. waiting for the start of the show. @sn0white messaged me at around 12:05 to join the voice channel, but just like her and the others, I cannot hear anything. Anyway, the others are connected and the show must go on.

@maverickinvictus tried to help me out, he sent a screenshot for me. I checked all the options but I can’t find any Overview. Guess I got no access there. But, after 2 minutes I got in, so we’re good.

I got connected at around 1:05 a.m. It’s better to be late than never. I wanted to stay up late as long as I can.

The first thing I heard when I finally connected was in regards to flagging a post. I never experienced flagging a post coz I haven’t seen a flaggable post. And I will never flag a post because of grammar, misspelled words, etc. SG is always trying to convince us through his words not look for faults and focus on positive things in the post. That tiny flag icon has a good purpose though, but others are abusing it.

There’s a lot of things that SG had discussed but my favorite was when he said to “make yourself your first audience” in connection to writing a post here in Steemit and also in creating a #ulog. Those words are very interesting. Based on what I remember, if I’m not mistaken, he said talk to yourself. I bet he didn’t meant literally. hehe. I think if you can’t feel the amazement in your posts, it’ll be hard to make yourself your first audience. Maybe that’s the starting point. Discover your beauty, don’t let others discover it for you.

It seems like disruption is inevitable during SteemGigs Discord Talk Show but disruption is always finding its way out. Every SteemGigs Discord Talk Show is ending in a right note, leaving the spectators something to ponder with in their Steemit journey.

I think this is all for now. See you in the next SteemGigs Show. I need to go to bed now, I have to watch the Cavaliers vs Celtics’ do-or-die game six hours from now. I’m rooting for the Cavs.
