Sunday Scent Experience: rose geranium 🌸
Geranium, for #SundayScentExperience.
Geranium is actually Pelargonium.
There are many species in this family and they are more or less all aromatic. It' s a very floral scent that lifts he spirit.
i prefer to work with the egyptian one or, even better RoseGeranium from the Isle Reunion.
Lately i have worked good quality oil from Madagaskar too.
If you don't like the scent of geranium, this can mean that you put too much strain on yourself. That you come close to beeing a workaholic/perfectionist.
Scents you don't like are a lead for aromatherapist - they cristalise the themes you need/can work with.
Geranium is especially suited when working with nerve-pain complaints. It sooths the nagging pain and brings relaxation.
If you suffer from shingles, use a cotton swap to gently touch the vesicles with a bit of pure oil, this will relieve the pain quiclky and help the recovery.
For facial paralysus add one drop in your daily facial cream.

Personally I didn't know if you use Rose Geranium, shingles could be relieved. Wow! That's great info. Thanks alot such work posted here. I will upvote and follow.
Thank you!
Your welcome :)
I never knew about geranium oil treating shingle pain either @dutchess
Shingles come at the end of nerves, that is why they can be so painful. I have only good results with this, though it can never be said that it works that well on everybody
I need to get hold of you on FB messenger later tonight @dutchess Have a great day, Lovely!
Do!
Upvoted and resteemed earlier this afternoon to get the word out about #sundayscentexperience @dutchess and my post for this week can be found here:

Thank your dear Nina ❤
I know the oil of geraniums but its smell is somewhat heavy for me. It will be necessary to try to use it in combination with other oils. Judith, thank you for reminding me of this oil.
You can lift it up with one of the citrus oils!
Thank you! I'll try to do it. Good day to you!!!!!
Thank you @pixresteemer !
Very beautiful rose geranium . I have not yet seen such beauty. Good luck to you.
Thank you and the same for you
That is great information, I have nerve pain and will have to give this a try. Thank you,
Be sure to use the oil never pure (with exception of the shingles, a couple of days). Dillute! That way your skin will not react with a sensitisation. If i may ask - what kind of nerve pain? Maybe i can be of some more help
I do like the smell of Geraniums. The garden geraniums can be so strong! I like some of the 'flavored' ones, like Apple Geranium and Pineapple and Mint and Lemon. There are so many different ones, lol. The wild ones around me don't have much of a scent, at least to me.
I did a post for your SundayScentExperience. But it was for an odor that I don't like -- forest fire smoke. Geraniums are a lot better! ; )
Hi! It's been some time since we spoke. Thank you for your great entrie - i have yet to read it quietly. No, the wild ones have no odor to me either, though i love their little flowers
I'm not very good at visiting the blogs of so many people! I get far behind. With spring coming along, there will be many more wonderful scents, though. So maybe we will chat more often. : )
