Hi steemians, @earthangel is here
Hi steemians,
So nice to finally be introducing myself here. My name is Etinosa, pronounced without the n. I'm a Nigerian. I'm from Edo state, a Bini girl to be exact.I live in Lagos which is this state where people are always on the move hustling and there is never a dull moment. I'm a university student studying Chemical engineering in Nigeria. I'm a christain.I speak English and a little bini (which is so shameful cause i should be fluent in it). Im also learning Japanese, Ill talk more about it in my next posts. Don’t have much fine pics, so let me just drop the one I have.
THINGS I LOVE
I love reading books…like love them. I could spend a whole day in my room reading a book. I especially love reading sci-fi and fantasy fiction books. Books allow me to go to places i've never been before, see things from a different perspective and it stimulates my imagination. I look forward to meeting people who are passionate about books on steemit.
Im also a foodie, one of the things on my bucket list is to eat foods from every country in the world (lol that doesn’t make me a glutton though). I also love watching anime, that’s what made me want to learn Japanese. My dad and I got hooked on it when I was in Secondary school and we have not looked back since then. Some of my favourite anime are full metal alchemist, death note, noragami, samurai x, kenichi, naruto. The list actually goes on but ill stop here.

I also write short stories and novels… working on one right now. Writing gives me a means to express myself and put all my crazy thoughts down on paper and link them to form stories about anything I want . My favourite authors are chimamanda adichie, nnedi okorafor and stephen king. I currently blog about books and food over at my site Uwadis.

I love listening to music too, any genre as long as the beats and lyrics make sense but sadly I cant dance oh😭. Cant sing either but i will remedy that soon.
MORE ABOUT ME
On a normal day at home, you can find me curled up reading a good book, listening to music or laughing hysterically at funny videos or immersed in deep thoughts.
For example have you ever wondered that the world is riddled with so many problems and whatever you do to help might not make a difference and even if you do something, more bad things will happen so its like an endless cycle. There will always be racism, sexism, tribalism, corruption.
I know , I know I sound pessimistic but we’ve got to face reality. For now ill just focus on thE good things in life. Okay moving on, yes i'm an introvert but that doesn’t mean i'm shy or timid cause people often mix it up. I just prefer my own company most times, I can party and be wild too but I would rather have a great conversation with someone somewhere quiet and laugh at the silliest things.
I was introduced to steemit by @sahrodion, my weird smart friend who is an awesome photographer. So you can expect posts about books, food and life in general from me. I look forward to the time I will spend here learning from you all and enriching you all with the little knowledge I have. Thanks for having me steemians. Keep winning at life guys :-)

Nice to meet you fellow Earth Angel! Looking forward to your posts from Nigeria! I live in Hawaii so its quite amazing to be sharing instantly from all across the globe! Looks like you are off to a great start 😁
Thanks. it really is amazing. you live in hawaii, that's so cool. How's life over there?
Its very nice, housing is very expensive but I can't complain about much else. I was born in Alaska and grew up some in California but once I came here for college I didn't want to leave. I would love to visit Africa one day! Looking forward to seeing more posts from your home, or what Hawaiians would call your 'one hānau (oh-nay ha-now) meaning land or sands of your birth. I imagine many babies were born close to the ocean long ago, probabaly why its termed "sands of your birth" 😅😊🌺🌴
sounds like you have traveled to several places. If you coming to Africa, come to Nigeria and taste our jollof rice and our other delicacies. 😊😊
Thanks 😁 I would love to try Nigerian delicacies. I've never heard of that rice but if its a delicacy it must be delicious!

I was just passing by and was impressed by your intro post so I thought I would drop you an upvote.
I know little about Nigeria, other than I used to work on a development project that was based in Maiduguri and Kano.
Thank you
Hello @earthangel, welcome to Steemit. I was really surprised when I read your dad watches anime, that's really cool. Though I'm not a fan of anime, I have watched some myself. I will advice you try to interact with others on Steemit and read about how it works. Welcome once again!
Thank you. Yeah a lot of people are surprised when i tell them my dad watches anime. What can i say, he is young at heart.
