1 Building Unit and 10 Rooms of Alqaasimiyyah Bireuen Islamic Boarding School Burned Down.
A fire disaster occurred in Juli Keude Dua Village, Juli District, Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province, Friday, 4/4/2025, at around 03.00 WIB. The disaster burned down one unit of the dayah leader's house and 10 student rooms.
One long building consisting of ten student rooms of Alqaasimiyyah Islamic Boarding School and one unit of the dayah leader's house which was semi-permanently constructed to the west, burned down along with its contents. The cause of the disaster is not yet known.
When the fire occurred, the dayah room and also the dayah teacher's house were empty because they were on a long holiday during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.
Tgk Amryadi MAP, one of the administrators of the Riyadhul Jamiah Alqaasimiyyah Foundation (Yarijal) told several media crews that he learned about the disaster from local residents and the foundation's administrators. He said that before dawn, he received information from residents that the dayah had caught fire.
"The cubicle building that had been occupied by students who were boarding at the dayah and a house for the dayah leader caught fire," he said.
"When the fire broke out at the empty dayah, there were 20 students and several dayah teachers were on long holidays, so the dayah was empty, said Amryadi.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Bireuen Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Afwadi, BA through the Pusdalops-PB Regu A M Rakjab SE, and his colleagues, told several media crews that the Bireuen BPBD received information from residents about a fire disaster in the Juli area, Bireuen.
The Bireuen BPBD deployed 3 units of the Bireuen Main Post Fire Brigade and 1 unit of the Juli Sub-district Assistant Post Fire Brigade to the scene to extinguish the fire. Upon arrival, the fire was still towering and was immediately extinguished, the rapid spread of the flames burned the entire building.
A few moments later the fire was successfully extinguished and several buildings next to it were cooled and survived the disaster. Regarding the source of the fire that caused the fire, the Alqasiimiyyah Dayah building is not yet known.
After the disaster, the Bireuen Regency Government through the Bireuen BPBD immediately delivered emergency assistance to Dayah Alqaasimiyyah. The emergency assistance was received directly by one of the teachers named Tgk Ansari and was accompanied by the foundation administrator Tgk Amryadi.
