Acting Regent Opens Socialization of Neutrality of Village Apparatus Throughout Bireuen Regency.
Acting (Pj) Regent of Bireuen, Jalaluddin, SH MM opened the Socialization of Neutrality of Village Apparatus Throughout Bireuen Regency held by the Election Supervisory Committee (Panwaslih) of Aceh and Bireuen Regency, Monday (10/21/2024) morning, at the Fajar Hotel Hall.
The activity was attended by 700 participants starting from Village Heads (Keuchik) of 609 Villages (Gampong), representatives of the District Election Supervisory Committee (Panwaslihcam), and Village Election Supervisors (PPG) of 17 sub-districts, attended by the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), and related officials from other related agencies.
The Head of the Organizing Committee, also as the Head of the Bireuen Panwaslih Secretariat, Sulaiman, in his report said that this activity was attended by 700 participants, this event will be filled by speakers from several materials, in order to support the implementation of the 2024 simultaneous regional elections by the Village Government.
"We would also like to express our gratitude to all the committees and parties who have helped and worked together to make today's event a success," he said.
Acting Head of the Aceh Panwaslih, Muhammad AH in his remarks, among other things, said that the purpose of this socialization was to provide an in-depth understanding to the organizers of the supervision of the Aceh Governor and Deputy Governor Election, Regent and Deputy Regent, Mayor and Deputy Mayor.
Regarding the importance of supervision in every stage of the Pilkada which is only 37 days away or November 27, 2024, it is necessary to supervise the preparation of the transfer election or Additional Voter List (DPTb), and Special Voter Data (DPK) on the voting day and recapitulation in each sub-district.
According to him, the role of colleagues and village officials in overseeing the election process is very important, especially to prevent violations that can damage democracy, he said.
Meanwhile, the Acting Regent of Bireuen, Jalaluddin on behalf of the Bireuen Regency Government expressed his gratitude to the committee and also gave his appreciation for the presence of participants in the socialization of neutrality of village officials with the hope that the implementation of the Election in Bireuen Regency in 2024 can run safely, orderly and democratically.
"We will soon face the Pilkada which will be held in November 2024. One of the important pillars in maintaining the integrity of the Pilkada is the neutrality of the keuchik. Therefore, today, we are carrying out this socialization," he said.
To all keuchik, the Acting Regent also hopes that they will maintain neutrality and play an active role in supporting the implementation of the Pilkada in Bireuen Regency democratically and with integrity.
"I ask the village heads to play an active role in supporting the implementation of clean, democratic, and integrity-based elections, as well as increasing voter participation. I emphasize to the village heads the importance of neutrality of village officials in securing the election process," said Jalaluddin.
It was also emphasized that village heads are prohibited from being involved in practical politics and campaigns. Neutrality is not only an obligation but also a foundation to ensure that every election process runs fairly, transparently, and accountably, he said.
This socialization activity was also carried out to provide in-depth understanding to village heads, regarding the substance of prohibitions, sanctions and handling of violations, said Acting Regent of Bireuen, Jalaluddin, SH MM.
