Dozens of Booths Enliven the Fikom Fest Umuslim Bireuen Exhibition.
Students of the Faculty of Computer Science (Fikom) of Almuslim University (Umuslim), Peusangan District, Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province held Fikom Fest Volume 2 in the parking lot of the MA Jangka Building, Umuslim Campus, on Monday, 16/12/2024.
Dozens of booths displaying various products of student work enlivened the event. For information, Fikom Fest is an exhibition of the work of the university's students in the fields of technology, culinary, handicrafts, and various other creative fields.
The Head of the Committee, Muhammad Sakhi Alhirzi, said that there were 76 booths participating in Fikom Fest Volume 2. The number consisted of 52 culinary booths, 9 handicraft booths, 12 technology booths, and the rest were mixed booths from various other creative fields.
Fikom Fest Volume 2, which was opened by the Head of the Umuslim Academic Bureau, Wahyudi MPd, was a success and lively.
In his speech, Wahyudi MPd expressed his appreciation for the activities carried out by Fikom Umuslim students because they were very useful and supported the improvement of student activities on campus.
Also delivering a speech was the Committee Advisor, Zulkifli MKom. According to Zulkifli, Fikom Fest is a collaborative activity of the Student Executive Board (BEM) and the Informatics Student Association (Himaif) Fikom Umuslim supported by lecturers teaching the Entrepreneurship course.
Zulkifli, who is also a lecturer at Fikom Umuslim, said that the activity aims to foster a spirit of creativity and innovation among students, so that after graduating from college they can develop an entrepreneurial spirit, as well as create ideas and develop new innovations.
The Head of BEM Fikom Umuslim, M Akbar, accompanied by the Head of Himaif, Syarifah Gina Yumna, added that Fikom Fest is a forum for Fikom Umuslim students to be creative and be creative.
"We hope that this activity can encourage students to work together to be more courageous in creating and innovating by collaborating between students in the fields of technology and entrepreneurship," said M Akbar.
Dean of Fikom Umuslim, Riyadhul Fajri SST MKom, on the sidelines of reviewing the Fikom Fest exhibition booth, strongly supports the activity because it is a means and space for students to be creative and innovative.
"We would like to thank the committee and all parties who have supported and assisted the activities held by Fikom Umuslim students," concluded Riyadhul Fajri.
The students were very enthusiastic about participating in the exhibition. They displayed a number of culinary creations, prototypes of information technology by students, and various kinds of handicraft accessories.
In addition to the Head of the Academic Bureau, the opening of Fikom Fest was also attended by the Head of Umuslim Equipment, Deputy Dean of Fikom, Head of the Computer Laboratory, as well as heads of study programs and lecturers within the scope of Almuslim University.
Also present were representatives of PEM, BEM, and HMJ within Umuslim, as well as representatives of OSIS SMA/equivalent throughout Bireuen Regency.
