Enlivening the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, Bireuen Regency Government Holds Cultural Carnival Parade.
The Bireuen Regency Government, Aceh Province held a carnival parade or cultural parade in order to enliven the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia (RI), Sunday, 8/18/2024.
In addition, a drum band carnival competition was also held which was participated by eight groups from Elementary School (SD), Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI), Junior High School (SMP) and Senior High School / Vocational School (SMA / SMK).
This carnival was attended by hundreds of participants from various levels of education, starting from Early Childhood Education (PAUD), Kindergarten (TK), Elementary School (SD), Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI), Junior High School (SMP), Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs), Senior High School (SMA), Madrasah Aliyah (MA) and Vocational School (SMK).
The release of the participants' procession was marked by the release of red and white balloons into the air and the raising of the starting flag by the Acting (Pj) Regent of Bireuen, Jalaluddin, S.H.M.M, accompanied by elements of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) and a number of Heads of District Work Units (SKPK).
This carnival is an annual event held to enliven the Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, the activity showcases the creativity of students in various costumes themed on the struggle for independence, ranging from traditional Indonesian clothing to national hero costumes, battle tank troops and the students' hilarious style which became jokes that attracted visitors.
The enthusiasm of the participants and the community who watched was very high, making the atmosphere even more lively.
The Acting Regent of Bireuen, Jalaluddin, SH, MM expressed his appreciation to all participants and schools who had participated in this event. In addition, the Acting Regent of Bireuen emphasized the importance of instilling a sense and values of patriotism and nationality in the younger generation from an early age.
This carnival is not only entertainment but also a means of education for our children to learn more about the history of the nation's struggle.
"I hope that with activities like this that continue to be preserved as they have been carried out every year, there needs to be improvement," hoped Mr. Jalaluddin, SH, MM.
All participants crossed a number of roads around the city of Bireuen and ended at Jalan T Hamzah Bendahara (in front of the Bireuen Regent's Pendopo).
The enthusiasm of residents watching the art and culture carnival parade held by the Bireuen Regency Government through the Cultural Sector of the Bireuen Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud) was quite large.
Ninety-four carnival parade contingents and eight drum band groups amazed thousands of residents who filled the road route passed by the carnival parade.
Appearing in the honorary tent, among others, the Acting Regent of Bireuen, the chairman of the DPRK, elements of the Forkopimda Plus, the Bireuen Regional Secretary, the Regent's Expert Staff, and the District Secretariat Assistants.
Then, the Chairman of the Bireuen Sharia Court, the Head of the Bireuen Ministry of Religion, Bireuen Regency Government officials, a number of sub-district heads and other invitees.
