GENESIS 7

1 And the LORD said unto Noah, Enter thou, and all thy house, into the ark; because I have seen you right before me in this generation.

2 From each clean animal you will take seven pairs, male and female; more of the animals that are not clean, a couple, the male and his female.

3 Also of the birds of the sky, seven pairs, male and female, to keep the living species on the face of the earth.

4 For after the seven days, it rains on the earth forty days and forty nights; and I will erase from the face of the earth all that I have lived.

5 And Noah did according to all that the LORD commanded him.

6 Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters came upon the earth.

7 And because of the waters of the flood, Noah entered the ark, and with him his sons, his wife, and the wives of his sons.

8 Of the clean animals, and of the animals that were not clean, and of the birds, and of all that creeps upon the earth,

9 Two by two they entered with Noah into the ark; man and woman, as God commanded Noah.

10 And on the seventh day the waters of the flood came upon the earth.

11 In the six hundredth year of the life of Noah, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep were broken, and the cataracts of heaven were opened,

12 and there was rain on the earth forty days and forty nights.

13 On the same day Noah entered, and Shem, Ham and Japheth the sons of Noah, Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons, with him in the ark;

14 and all wild beasts according to their kind, and all beasts that are tamed after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after its kind, and every fowl after its kind, and every fowl of every kind.

15 Then they came with Noah to the ark, two by two, of all flesh in which was the spirit of life.

16 And those who had come, men and women of all flesh, came, just as God had commanded him; and Jehovah closed the door.

17 And the flood was forty days on the earth; and the waters increased, and they lifted up the ark, and it rose above the earth.

18 And the waters arose and grew exceedingly upon the earth; and the ark floated on the surface of the waters.

19 And the waters rose much above the earth; and all the high mountains that were under all the heavens were covered.

20 Fifteen cubits above the waters rose, after the mountains were covered.

21 And all the flesh that moves on the earth died, both of birds and of cattle and of beasts, and of every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, and each one.

22 Everything that had the breath of the spirit of life in its nostrils, everything that was on earth, died.

23 And every creature that lived upon the face of the earth, from man to beast, and creeping things, and birds of the heavens, was destroyed; and they were cut off from the earth, and there was only Noah, and those who were with him in the ark.

24 And the waters prevailed on the earth one hundred and fifty days.

The great Flood

OUTSIDE the ark, people continued their lives as before. They still did not believe that the Flood would come. They must have laughed more than ever. But a short time later they stopped laughing.

Suddenly water began to fall. It fell from the sky like when you pour water from a bucket. Noah was right! But nobody else could get into the ark. Jehovah God had closed the door well.

Soon all the low ground was covered. The water looked like great rivers. It pushed the trees and moved large stones and made a lot of noise. The people got scared. They climbed to higher ground. Oh, how much they wished they had paid attention to Noah and got into the ark when they still had the door open! But now it was too late.

The water kept rising and rising. For 40 days and 40 nights, water fell from the sky. He climbed the mountains, and soon even the highest ones were covered. As God had said, every person and animal that was outside the ark died. But everyone inside was safe.

The waters of the Flood begin to cover everything outside the ark
Noah and his children had done a good job of making the ark. The water lifted her, and she floated overhead. Then, one day, when it stopped raining, the Sun began to shine. What a view! There was only one big ocean everywhere. And the only thing that could be seen was the ark floating above.

There were no giants anymore. They would not return to cause harm to people. All had died, along with their mothers and other bad people. But what happened to their parents?

The fathers of the giants were not really human people like us. They were angels who had come down to Earth to live as men. Therefore, when the Flood came, they did not die with other people. They stopped using the human bodies they had made, and returned to heaven as angels. But they were no longer allowed to be from the family of angels of God. They became angels of Satan. In the Bible these angels are called demons.

God now caused a wind to blow, and the waters of the flood began to fall. Five months later the ark was on top of a mountain. Many days passed, and those inside were able to look outside and see the top of the mountains. The waters kept going down and down.

Then Noah let a black bird called a raven come out of the ark. This one flew for a while and then came back because he could not find a good place to stay. He kept doing this, and every time he came back he would rest on the ark.

Noah wanted to see if the waters had drained from the earth, so he sent a dove from the ark. She came back too, because she did not find where to stay. Noah sent her a second time, and she came back with an olive leaf in her beak. The waters had dropped. Noah sent the dove for the third time, and finally it found a dry place to live.

Now God spoke to Noah. He said: 'Get out of the ark. Take all your family and animals with you. 'They had been in the ark for more than a year. Imagine how happy they were to be outside again and alive!

THERE IS NO GREATER STRENGTH OF NATURE THAN WHAT GOD ORDAINS THAT IS FULFILLED.
