Ripple has started a very Steem-adjacent blogging platform that's going to reward users with XRP for creating content.
Where does the money come from?
The difference here is rewards are collected in the form of a $5 monthly subscription fee.
The thing I find the most interesting about this are the listed competitors:
- Brave/BAT
- 'Lightning-powered' Yalls
- ERC-20 token Cent
Once again, we see that Steem only gets reported on when something bad happens. It is mind blowing to me that all these Steem-like services are coming out, but they are worse than Steem and Steem is never mentioned.
We are being underestimated. As time goes on we will make so much noise that ignoring us will not be an option.
Hmmm... This sounds like a Ponzi Scheme to me. I'm not convinced. And has anyone looked at the XRP chart over the last 6 months? It's scary as f@ck!!!

If it's not open source and clone/fork able it's worthless.

I just checked out coil. You have to pay $5 a month and steem is free. It will never work. Nobody is going to pay to get paid pennies. We Win!!!

Revenge is a dish best served cold.
It is clear that the potential of the Steem ecosystem scares them, so it's better for them do not mention us at all.
not only that, blogging will not be the go-to way to bring value to the Steem ecosystem in the future. It probably won't even be fifth best.
They will eventually end up here as we have the broadest ecosystem with so many ways to engage and build!
