CORRUPT PUBLIC OFFICERS ALSO DESERVE CAPITAL PUNISHMENT.

Hello Friends welcome to my blog.

As you all know, nobody is above the law.
I therefore wish to start by asking:Does the fact that somebody is a public officer mean that the person is above the law? or does it suggest, within acceptable democratic practices that the officer is being governed under a peculiar constitution? If the answer to this plethora of questions is 'No', then one must hasten to submit that what is good for the goose is good for the gander.

In fact, gentle men and ladies, I would rather we used whatever power within our reach to ensure that our corridors of power become exemplary by making penalties for offences relating to corruption shrewder at that level. Yes! this is the only way the nation's bid to wipe out corruption can be made manifest. If a Director-general is subjected to capital punishment without fear of intimidation and all that, those who work under him will certainly take that as a deterrent.

I make bold to say that if public officers are spared from capital punishment, the question of this democracy is then uncalled for and as such all the individual and communal efforts aimed at achieving an enduring democratic governance become defeated. This is because, in point condour, true democracy thrives in the strict adherence to the supremacy of the law wherein equality before the law is paramount. Anything short of these, certainly will erode the masses, confidence in the government of the day.

Furthermore, if public officers are not made to face capital punish, it becomes an indirect way of saying that public officers only are free to be corrupt as virtually nothing is done and it will bring about an irreparable dent on our national psyche.

Justice should be done accordingly to prevent injustice in the nation because everyone is equal before the law and should be treated as such.

Thanks for your time here.
