My Town In Ten Pics : 10-04-2023. Pikworo slave Camp in Upper East Region of Ghana.

Hello everyone,

It is yet another great day, and I will be sharing with you today my community in ten pictures.

This particular entry is about the one of the slave camps that used to be in Africa specifically Ghana and what goes on there. It us my hope and believe that tou will enjoy all aspect of this particular entry.

Advertisement stone

This is one of the big stones that have been used for advertising the place for others to hear off and for them to come and help. It is so interesting that they came to help in the work and makes it interesting in case there are visitors. They also talk about the place.

Joy news

This is also an advertising agent and they are into news and documentary. They shade with almost all individuals who are interested the location of the place and they sometimes provide means of transport for better understanding and easy way to get there.

Slave bowls

Because of how difficult it was and how had it was for slaves to feed without spoiling their bowls, they were made to create bowls using stones on other to be able to feed on the stone and as we all know that can't be spoilt.

Meeting place

This is where all the slaves meet in other to be able to get announcement and to listen to any news the master a have for them. It was very difficult for individuals to run away since they will be counted each time they meet here.

Cemetery

This is the cemetery for them during those days. It was known that depending on the number of people that die per day, they will be buried together. The big stone indicate it is a grave and the number of stones surroundings it indicates the number of individuals in that grave.

Watch tower

This is a very huge stone that is tied and it is assured that those individuals who stand on them are able to see from afar. It is huge and you can see beyond 10Kilometers if you ask me.

Water

This is their source of water and it is known that this water never dry. Looking at the whether conditions temperature as it stands now, almost all water source that are not deep are empty Hence I strongly believe and hope that
That water sources never dries and that is what the slaves drink from.

Ghana

This is one of the big stone that have been painted with the Ghana map to indicate and show that all these things happened in this particular region called Ghana. I was very happy to have the art work over there.

Punishment rock

This is where all individuals who do not obey the rules or try to run away are been sent to. They are been punished by allowing them to sit on the rock, look into the air by focusing on the sun from the sun rise to sun set. Some are been punished till death.

The sign post

This is the major sign post of the camp. It shows the name of the camp and what type of camp it was. I will be happy if this could be modified and design in a bigger version.
