Draw things you love. Write about subjects that interest you. There’s no point swimming against the current, embrace your passions and you will see the results. Take Maya for example, I lent her my IPad displaying a still from her favorite Netflix series and she did a wonderful job drawing this character which she loves and cares about. She completely knocked it out of the park. The school system is so constraining that art needs to be a place of self expression for children.
