To all the @steeminas a pleasant day ahead! @Steemit is a kind of platform where you can share your experiences and you'll get paid but more than that it is the feeling of fulfillment and achievement when your effort is being recognized and given value. I have learnt that in this platform you can see people, real people because it is kind of vehicle to express one's inner thoughts to be heard and appreciated. It is a venue where you are valued and given importance in every little thing you did.
LOCATION
My entry for this contest, Photography : The Forest is my photo in Bohol, Philippines. A 2-kilometer long stretch mad made rain forest. Most of the trees are mahogany a tropical tree that can be a good material in cabinet making or other household furniture. A mahogany tree it will take up to 25 years to reach full maturity but still considered as fast growing tree. The man made rain forest is located in Loboc and Bilar Bohol, Philippines and is most frequented by the tourists but there are different species of trees and giant ferns lining the road as you can see in my picture.
MAGICAL STORY
The roots are so beautiful to look at as they protrude to the ground and crawl over the land and even reaching the sides of the road like tentacles of a giant octopus. So creepy because when you enter the rainforest you will feel the abrupt change in temperature you felt like someone blowing you a cold icy-wind. As you can see the patches of sunlight breaking through the canopy made the silent forest enchanting and felt I was walking in a fairytale woodland.

Historical side
The man-made rain forest was a part of the reforestation project started more than 50 years ago to replace trees lost from widespread "kaingin" in Bohol. "Kaingin" means slash and burn. Mahogany is an alien tree in the Philippines and is dangerous to species. Creepy when you are in the middle of the forest because you can't hear any birds chirping or humming. It is believe that Mahogany tree is poisonous to them. There are hundreds or individuals or private organization held a tree planting project but this time they were planting only native trees.
Thanks #club5050 @papi-mati
