THE REPROGRAMMED MIND

in #steemchurch7 years ago

To become totally free, the mind has to be Reoriented, Restructured and Reprogrammed by the Word of God.

.. But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:16 (KJV)

Let's take a look and examine the concept of the Reprogrammed Mind, as it relate to every True believer. To serve God in His fullness, we need to get rid of our fleshly desires, and be focused on the things set high above.

As we read on, I pray the Lord grant you an understanding heart in Jesus name! Amen.

This refers to that which is responsible for one's thought and feelings; the seat of the faculty of reason. It is used to refer to, or interchanged as the brain.
The mind therefore is said to be a cognitive faculties including:

It possess the power of appreciation, imagination and recognition, it is also responsible for processing, feeling and emotions resulting in attitudes and actions. The mind can sometimes be referred to as the "Mitochondria" (power house) of the human body, as all the activities of the body are linked closely to it.

The mind therefore:

  • Interpretes
  • Instructs
  • Sensitize etc, every other parts of the human body for the optimum functioning of their various activities.

This is the ability to program again or differently, it also means to program anew; especially to revise or write a new program.

Reprogramming has to do with changing the entire course, structure, pattern, function and activities a program.

THE REPROGRAMMED MIND

Let's take a look at the scriptures;

Roman's 12:1-2
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

This scriptures best explains the reprogramming of the mind, looking back to 1Corinthians 2:16b
Paul declared .....but we have the mind of Christ.

The reprogrammed mind is one whose consciousness, perceptions, thinking, judgement, language and memory has been altered to change its course from what it was or holds. It is the mind that is completely oblivious of Worldliness (flesh or carnality).

Romans 12:1, talks about presenting ourselves as living sacrifice, Holy and acceptable. Sacrifices as used in this context refers to the "Christian" who by Death to Sin and resurrection to life in Christ is considered as living.

When we died to Sin and was resurrected in Christ, our spirit (which is the candlestick of the Lord) was liberated, saved and restored.

The spirit which is one of the Three-dimensional man was saved, but the mind was not saved. This implies that what we knew before salvation does not changes or is not altered by it. The salvation experienced at the "Cross" is thus the liberation of the spirit-man, not the mind. Therefore, a saved being can still reason, think or may even act as he had before his encounter.

Apostle Paul explained that the first step in the process of reprogramming is:

  • The offering of one's self as "Living Sacrifice"
  • That such sacrifice must be Holy and Acceptable

The later Verse talks about not returning to the form of the world (conformity), but following a continuous and complete transformation of the mind (reprogramming of the mind). The reprogramming of the mind can only be done successfully through and by the "Word of God". The amount and quality of God's word you hold daily, hourly, weekly etc, determines to what extent our mind is renewed.

Naturally, it is what we give ourselves to that rules our mind. For example a man that gives himself to drinking, will always have his mind clouded by thoughts of drinking; likewise a man who gives himself to the Word. We are therefore what we give ourselves to. What we Visualize, Hear and Read has a great role to play in our lives as humans.

the above explains how a normal routine influences our life

The Word of God catalysis us to be "Carnally dormant" and "Spiritually Dorminant", the Word opens our mind to the beauty of God's Glory, it is our standard for our daily living. We become alive to God and dead to sin as a function of the quality amount of God's word we hold daily.
Psalms 119:130
The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

WHY MUST THE MIND BE REPROGRAMMED?

Galatians 5:25
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

An unrenewed mind cannot phantom the things of the Spirit. If we must totally be live to God, every aspect of our life must experience Salvation in totality. The saving of the mind is a continuous process, and we should not quit, until very stripes of worldliness in us is totally eliminated.

The mind therefore has to be reprogrammed because:

  • We must continuously mind the things of the Spirit as spirit. Romans 8:5
  • A Carnal (unrenewed) mind produces death. Romans 8:6
  • A Carnal mind is enmity against God. Romans 8:7
  • To walk in the Spirit, every earthly element has To be dealt with.

CONSEQUENCES OF STAYING UNRENEWED

Below are the consequences for having an unrenewed mind:-

  • Death:- Romans 8:6, Romans 8:13
  • Constrained to Displeasing God:- Romans 8:8
  • We become limited to seeing, enjoying and living in the Glory of God (life in the spirit) Galatians 5:25
  • Our mind remains enslaved to worldliness

BENEFITS OF REPROGRAMMING THE MIND

  • We becomes complete in him

May the Lord grant you an understanding heart as you read through.

This is a well detailed message, the reprogrammed mind is that which has been washed by the blood of the lamb, and all kinds of sin has been blotted by the holy spirit.
The bible Says old things are passed away and everything has become new

When we have been reprogrammed, heavenly things will tend to be our priorities, and then we will have a godly mind, which us cleansed from all sort of negative thoughts

Every words spoken here is indeed inspiring. It shows to what extent we open our mind to the Lord's teachings.
i am indeed blessed @josediccus

Very insightful post @egheprincez you have told us in details how to go about restructuring our mindset, our mind is a powerful tool and focusing it on God and his teachings!

The Mind is indeed a powerful tool that directs the body to the pattern it wants. Thanks@jedaijudith

All true, one has to let go of the past, accept the present and work towards the future to achieve things in life.. It's like, accepting you offended someone, you apologized and now you guys are back to being friends..

The mind has to be reprogrammed to teachings and word of God i.e the Bible if we seek to be free, transformed and complete in Christ
well detailed.our mind is important to Christ,God asks that you be a participant in your own salvation by renewing your mind and being one with him.

@lenawrite. These are Spirit inspired Words, flesh and blood didn't just elucidate this.

"To become totally free, the mind has to be Reoriented, Restructured and Reprogrammed by the Word of God."
Very true we've to adopt this word and we will be transformed.

Yes Sir @benlegend-1. key is Adopting the Transformation principle

Your mind is the key to success. And if you want to live the life you desire, then it’s time to decide, to commit and to resolve. Because it’s not what we can do in life that makes a difference, it’s what we will do. And there’s no better time to take back control of your mind and set your sights on something better right now.

@odiaprecious, i'm indeed blessed by this words. Thanks bruh!

Great post!! Wonderful enlightenment.

@daniho It's God's inspiration. Thanks
