Tonggerat / Arthropoda
Tonggeret is a term for all types of insects belonging to the suborder Cicadomorpha, order Homoptera. This insect is known for its many members who make loud noises from the trees and last a long time.
This insect has a pair of facet eyes that are located far apart on its head and usually also see-through wings. The shape is sometimes like a large fly, although there are small cicadas. Cicadas live in areas especially in the tropics and are very easily recognized among other insects, because of their large body and extraordinary acoustics produced by the sound-producing apparatus under their wings.
