Splinterlands should be on the Steam platform!
Or is it too early for this game to be promoted on bigger gaming platforms? Or maybe I am just a too big of a wishful thinker to expect Splinterlands becoming somewhat bigger than it already is?
I opened Steam today and guess what games are the top Steam releases of April 2020? It's a variety of completely different gaming genres, but one game caught my eyes - Kards.
What's Kards? It's another free to play card game! This one is based on the world war II era. From their description it's said that the game combines traditional CCG gameplay with innovative mechanics inspired by classic strategy games and real battlefield tactics, but I can't really verify if those information are true or not because I didn't play the game.
What else makes Kards interesting? You can earn all cards through regular gameplay, daily missions and an extensive achievement system. Kind of sounds like Splinterlands with its DEC rewards, where it's also "possible" to earn all the cards and even buy booster packs through DEC too.
But most likely you will have to buy packs with real money to progress in the game more. All these card games work like this and nothing is wrong with that, they are free to play after all.
I think that some of the biggest difference between Kards and Splinterlands are the tournaments with prizes, cards that are limited in quantity and also free packs for the best players in the seasons.
I have honestly never heard about Kards before seeing it as a popular release on steam. Now I am thinking of trying it. Splinterlands on the other hand is really special on its own so I don't really know if the game can even be part of the steam platform, but that would really help massively. Do you really think gamers wouldn't want to try and play this game?
And the best part? Because every card in Splinterlands has value then even if you get bored you can sell these cards and booster packs and move on. This is something not possible with other similar card games such as Kards, Hearthstone and other so buying packs in these games is probably as good as throwing money into the trash.
Seriously, we need Splinterlands on Steam. If I could help somehow, I would.
