[The journey] An old guitar from a dusty cellar (Chapter 13).
Picture and old man, sitting at a corner of an old dusty cellar just beside a dirty open window, hearing the birds singing and playing his old trustworthy guitar. That's what I tried to achieve with this track.
The sample was picked from a royalty free sample pack I downloaded months ago from Samplephonics and I fell in love with it. It's has very simple chord progressions, but lacked bass, so I had to lay some sub-bass notes underneath (They're not perfect, so I apologize for that). A very monotone set of drums with some ambience sounds; I mixed the birds singing with a layer of vinyl to give the background noise of the track a more vintage feel. Some percs and foleys here and there, and voilá.
I'll be honest with you guys, I made this track in a hurry, because my city was hit by a earthquake yesterday so, I'm still a little bit nervous about that, nevertheless, I decided to finish it. I don't really like how the beat ended up, it's not my best work by far but, I love it for what it is. Maybe I could remix it in the future and give a more full sound to it, but until then, enjoy!
