Flattery

Listening to things that make us feel good, pleasant, beautiful, important, we all like it, that others think wonders of us we love it, but we have to be careful with this type of thing because many times we can become addicted to flattery and that it can lead us to modify our life just to live looking for the approval of others.

Flattery is that exaggerated way that some have to highlight the good we do and to justify in many cases what we should not do.

Between acknowledgment, appreciation and adulation there is a very, very thin ribbon that people must be careful to break, both those who highlight the traits of others and those who love to listen to them.

The bible says in Psalms 12 2 Each one speaks a lie with his neighbor; They speak with flattering lips, and with a double heart. 3 Jehovah will destroy all flattering lips, And the tongue that speaks boastfully; This is what happens with flattery, without light lips for lies and manipulation those who regularly practice it and when you dedicate yourself to listening to them and pleasing them you are being dragged by that current of destruction, and I continue destruction because if we read the verse 3 says that these types of people God will destroy.

Boasting is not pleasant in the eyes of God, being so quick to speak, to express an opinion, to believe the best and praise ourselves for it will undoubtedly bring us problems.

The best thing that man can do is to distance himself from these practices or from the one who does them, and walk in humility as God pleases.

Simplifique of heart and humility are characteristics of someone who wants to live quietly and pleasing God at all times.
