Samarkand Uzbekistan
Samarkand is one of the oldest cities. He was a key destination on the Great silk road. The city was almost destroyed by the Mongols of Genghis Khan, but Tamerlan returned him to life and made the capital of his vast Empire, and during the reign of Ulugbek, grandson of Tamerlane, Samarkand became the scientific capital of the East. Almost all the unique architectural monuments of the time of Tamerlane remained in Samarkand and to this day. And for me he remained in the memory as the most beautiful city of Uzbekistan.
