Dead to sin and alive through the righteousness of God. "1 Peter 2: 22-25"

How great and wonderful is the justice of God, which allowed his own Son Jesus Christ to bear with him the sins of all mankind to the tree, so that we may die to sin and live for the justice of God. There is no excuse for men, because God, in the expression of his love in Christ, has given us a new opportunity, so that we live according to the justice of God and we are no longer enslaved to sin. The apostle Peter wrote:

He did not commit any sin,
nor was there any deceit in his mouth. 23 When they used insults against him, he did not reply with insults; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but gave himself to the one who judges with justice. 24 He himself, in his body, carried our sins to the tree, so that we may die to sin and live for righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. 25 Before you were like lost sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd who takes care [i] of your lives. "1 Peter 2: 22-25"

God's justice is so perfect, that he needed to make a sacrifice to perfection to redeem man from his sins. In this sense, he took a perfect lamb, without skill and defects, that could, with its own blood, wash away the sins of humanity. The perfect lamb is Christ, which Peter says, there was no sin in Him and no deceit in his mouth. The perfection of the righteousness of God in Christ brought remission to man, so that whoever believes in Christ will be saved, otherwise he will be condemned. Without a doubt, Christ is the perfect sacrificial lamb that God used. Peter said:

He did not commit any sin,
nor was there any deceit in his mouth. "1 Peter 2:22"

Christ the perfect and meek lamb. His meekness was so great that when they spoke insults against him, he did not reply with insults. In all his sufferings, he did not threaten anyone, even knowing that he was the Son of God with authority and power to defend himself. Being Christ the Son of God, he preferred in all his sufferings to surrender himself into the hands of his Father, who has all power to judge with justice.

23 When they used insults against him, he did not reply with insults; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but gave himself to the one who judges with justice. "1 Peter 2:23"

The greatest and most powerful thing is that Christ in his own body, took our sins to the stake, with the intention that we die to sin and live by the justice of God, represented in his love in Christ. In Christ's wounds on the cross, we have received healing, so that the righteousness of God's love may be made perfect in us through our faith in Jesus Christ.

24 He himself, in his body, carried our sins to the stake, so that we may die to sin and live for righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. "1 Peter 2:24"

And this is the perfect righteousness of God in Christ, that we, being lost sheep, have now returned to the Shepherd of the shepherds, who is God, in order to take care of our lives. Peter said:

25 Before you were like lost sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd who takes care [i] of your lives. "1 Peter 2:25"
