Let God's peace rule your human relationships

in HeartChurch3 years ago

I used to be an angry person, and instead of winning friends, I had an abundance of enemies. All this was simply caused by my bad temper and my lousy temperament. I always lived in conflict with myself and everything seemed to be an eternal war with my own self, for the reason of having a poor self-esteem, which filled my life with anger, rage and bad temper. My family, work and social relationships ended up in a battle and conflict, which never led me to experience true peace.

I needed a deep change in my innermost being that would take me to a different level of peace than what is experienced in the world. If you have money in your pocket or in a bank account, it seems that this makes you calm and tranquil, however, when you no longer have those financial resources, you enter into an internal battle with yourself, because of nonconformity and the anxiety of not having what you want at that moment. Now, when you enter into a personal relationship with God, things begin to change, because the true peace of God, begins to govern and guard both your mind and heart, and that takes you to a level of glory of maximum calm and tranquility, as Paul wrote to the Philippians:

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. "Philippians 4:7"

There are many differences between the Christian life and life without Christ. In my past way of life, I told you at the beginning of the post how my life was and how my human relationships were. If I had money I experienced a temporary peace, but when the money ran out, everything was conflict and war both with myself and with the people around me. Christ came into the world so that we may have life and enjoy it in abundance, which also implies that peace comes with the blessing of receiving Christ as savior. Peace is given to us as a component of the fruit of the Holy Spirit, which exercises a government with divine authority within each believer. God's peace governs us in such a way that it guards both our mind and our heart. If any negative thought wants to rob us of the tranquility that God has given us, then the thoughts of Christ intervene in our mind so that the enemy does not rob us of the glorious tranquility and peace that God has given us. The Holy Spirit completely overrides every wrong thought of evil and selfishness that seeks to cause us to be in discord with our family and friends.

The Holy Spirit guides and motivates us to read the word of God to obtain the powerful thoughts of Christ that are benign to neutralize all negative thoughts that come from the enemy. God tells us that as long as it depends on us to be at peace with men, let us strive to do so. Likewise, the Lord commands us to forgive our offenders so that the enemy does not steal the peace of our hearts. The peace of God is so powerful that it guards the mind, heart and soul of the believer. The peace of Christ is very different from the peace of the world. The world wants to offer its peace with money and vice. Christ offered it on the cross with His precious blood, for the chastisement of our peace was upon Him.

If we are at peace with ourselves, and have peace with God, then our human relationships will grow greatly in love and joy. Harmony in the family nucleus will be of such a great magnitude that there will be marital peace and fraternal peace. God's peace will not only become abundant in the family, but in our workplaces there will be good relationships and much fellowship. Everything will depend on the level and degree of peace we seek from God. The Lord teaches us to seek peace and to pursue it. Seeking God's peace leads us to live always in his presence, whether in prayer, reading God's word and practicing love of neighbor. We are at peace with people when we treat them well and speak good things about them. We foster peace in the family and in society when we treat people the way we like to be treated. We should always strive to neutralize environments of conflict and war, to try to foster God's peace in all the places where we have to relate to people. Expressing ourselves well of others contributes to building a good environment for peace to flourish. Plant peace wherever you go and you will be a man of peace.
