Prosperity comes only from God. Psalm 127

in HeartChurch4 years ago

Psalm 127 was composed by the wisest man who ever walked the earth, Solomon. Solomon's wisdom and all his accumulated experience led him to confirm that man's prosperity has nothing to do with his own efforts, but with God's blessing on his life. It is not a matter of human intelligence and strength, but of the grace that flows from the throne of God to men who please him in obedience.
In Psalm 127 Solomon expresses that both man's material and family prosperity come from God alone:

If the Lord does not build the house,
in vain do those who build it labor;
If the LORD does not keep the city
in vain do the watchmen keep watch.
2 In vain do ye rise up early in the morning, and go late to rest,
and eat the bread of sorrows;
for God will give sleep to his beloved.
3 Behold, children are the inheritance of the LORD.
the fruit of the womb is precious.
4 As arrows in the hand of a mighty man
so are the children of youth.
5 Blessed is the man who has filled his quiver with them;
He shall not be put to shame
When he speaks to his enemies in the gate. Psalms 127 Reina-Valera 1960 (RVR1960)

Prosperity is nothing more than the set of elements that encompass the material and spiritual well-being of a person. It is not related to human strength and wisdom, but to the divine will, in which God alone gives us the power to make wealth. God's prosperity is conditional on man's obedience in relation to the fulfillment of his word.
When man walks aligned to God's will in obedience, then God prospers him and makes him successful in his city, in the field, allows his wife's womb to be fruitful, his beasts in the field multiply, blesses his barn, his entrance and exit, the Lord takes care of defeating all his enemies, and God will always send his blessing on the barn and the finances of those who obey him.
Walking in obedience to God guarantees us success in all areas of our life.
Solomon expressed that man's blessing does not come by the strength of his labor, but the one who builds and gives strength is God to make us prosper in all that we undertake. Likewise, the one who cares for us and our family is God and not the eyes of human justice, no matter how hard it tries to watch over your city or your house. Everything comes from God, as Solomon wrote:

If the Lord does not build the house,
in vain do those who build it labor;
If the LORD does not keep the city
in vain do the watchmen keep watch.
2 In vain do ye rise up early in the morning, and go late to rest,
and eat the bread of sorrows;
For God will give sleep to his beloved. Psalm 127: 1-2

The greatest blessing that comes from God that a person can experience is related to children. God commanded Adam and Eve from the beginning of creation to multiply and fill the earth and exercise authority and dominion over it. Man's offspring represent to God an inheritance. God enjoys the children that man allows him to bring into this world. God is pleased with and loves the woman's womb, which he makes fruitful so that he can fulfill the divine plan. God hates those who kill their children from the womb. God hates abortion because it goes against the divine plan that God established from the creation of man. God holds the woman's womb in high esteem, which God prospers with the beautiful children He allows her to bring into the world. Solomon said that children are God's inheritance on earth:

Behold, children are the inheritance of the LORD;
The fruit of the womb is a precious thing. Psalm 127: 3

God so loves the children that man procreates that He cares for them from the womb of the woman, and even when they are small the eyes of God delight in them. Children are God's inheritance and He loves them very much. To children in youth, God gives strength, health, skill, quickness, and teaches them the way of wisdom and understanding. Children in youth, says Solomon, are like arrows in the hands of the brave, for children in adolescence are very skillful and swift.

As arrows in the hands of the mighty,
so are the children of youth. Psalm 127: 4

God's commandment is that man and woman should have children in abundance. Surely you will say that the current situation that the world is going through does not allow it, however, the Jewish people have taken this commandment of God very seriously and their family has an average of 8 children and they do not lack any good, because God prospers those who obey him. Solomon says that it is a joy to a man that his house is full of children, who in due time, will defend their father from all his enemies. When fathers reach old age and have had many children, they take it upon themselves to defend and care for their fathers. Children are a blessing and an inheritance from God on earth.

5Blessed is the man who has filled his quiver with them; He shall not be ashamed when he speaks to his enemies in the gate. Psalm 127: 5
