Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands. "1 Peter 3: 1-7"
Marital success begins with the recognition of the man's authority as the main head of the home. Authority is not for aggression but for order, discipline and respect in the home. Just as Christ is the head of the church, so also the man is the head of the woman. The church loves and respects Christ, so also the wife should love and respect her husband, recognizing him as the authority over her. The apostle Peter teaches us on this subject of the submission of the wife to her husband, saying:
In the same way, wives, submit yourselves to your husbands, so that if some of them do not believe the word, they may be won over more by your behavior than by your words, 2 by observing your upright and respectful conduct. 3 Let your beauty not be outward beauty, which consists of adornments such as ostentatious hairstyles, gold jewelry, and luxurious clothing. 4 Let your beauty be rather that which is incorruptible, which comes from the depths of your heart and consists in a gentle and peaceable spirit. This is of great value in the sight of God. 5 Thus were adorned in ancient times the holy women who hoped in God, each one submissive to her husband. 6 Such is the case of Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her lord. You are her daughters if you do good and live without any fear.7 Likewise, you husbands, be understanding in your married life, each of you treating your wife with respect, for as a woman she is more delicate,[a] and both of you are heirs of the gracious gift of life. Thus nothing will hinder your prayers. "1 Peter 3: 1-7"

God's firm command is that the wife submit to her husband. Can you imagine for a moment, a marriage where the wife yells at her husband, disobeys him, or ridicules him in front of other people outside the marriage. If this happens, surely, this marriage is on the way to break up, simply because respect and good communication do not prevail. The chaos in the marriage has its origin in the ignorance of the authority and responsibilities that the spouses have. The wife can be a Christian, but if she does not submit to her husband, but disrespects him, certainly, instead of winning her soul for the Lord, she will lose it and God will demand from her the condemnation of her husband. If the husband is unbelieving and observes that his wife, who is a Christian, behaves as an obedient and loving wife to the husband, Peter says, that by the wife's behavior, they can win the husband to Christ. In other words, the wife's behavior is very important to persuade her unbelieving husband to the way of salvation in Christ.
In the same way, wives, submit yourselves to your husbands, so that if some of them do not believe the word, they may be won more by your behavior than by your words, 2 by observing your upright and respectful conduct. "1 Peter 3: 1-2"

It must be recognized that women are precious pearls with great elegance, which God in love and mercy made them to be born in a paradise, called the "Garden of Eden". Eve was born in the "Garden of Eden" and Adam, God made him outside the garden. Women were born to be princesses and queens, for that reason, they always seek to dress very elegantly with ostentatious hairstyles that make them shine in beauty and beauty with gold garments and luxurious dresses. However, the apostle Peter advises women that the best dress that can make them shine is the dress of the heart, which should be with incorruptible beauty and with a gentle and peaceful spirit. Imagine now a woman with a gentle spirit and with a soft tone of voice before her husband. It is something glorious and harmonious in marriage. The woman with gentle spirit is very submissive and very wise, which enables her to build her house and her marriage with intelligence.
3 Let not your beauty be external beauty, which consists of adornments such as ostentatious hairstyles, gold jewelry, and luxurious dresses. 4 Let your beauty be rather that which is incorruptible, which comes from the depths of the heart and consists in a gentle and peaceable spirit. This is of great value in the sight of God. "1 Peter 3: 3-4"

Many women of the Old Testament were more concerned with dressing their hearts with a gentle and soft spirit, and ended up calling their husbands with much respect and fear, saying to them: "Sir", such is the case of Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her lord. This is the type of marital example that the Lord wants to be carried out in Christian marriages and homes, in which love, respect, discipline and obedience of the wife to her husband prevails.
5 Thus in ancient times the holy women who hoped in God adorned themselves, each one submissive to her husband. 6 Such is the case of Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her lord. You are her daughters if you do good and live without fear. "1 Peter 3: 5-6"

It is not that the wife is a slave of the husband, but an order from God, however, the Lord also orders the husband to be understanding in his conjugal life, treating his wife with much respect and considering her a very fragile woman who can easily hurt. Peter wrote:
In the same way, you husbands, be understanding in your married life, each of you treating your wife with respect, for as a woman she is more delicate,[a] and both of you are heirs of the gracious gift of life. Thus nothing will hinder your prayers. "1 Peter 3: 7"
