Food challenge contest week #128 || For kids and parents| Teach The Kids/Kids Food Challenge| my okro soup recipe.
Hi, friends. How are you doing today? I'm also fine. I am here to engage in this context of food challenge it was through this food contest challenge that I learnt how to combine bushmango with okro soup, and it was nice and my appreciation goes to @mesola (you deserve a hug🫂) because she was the one that i learnt this recipe from during the time she engaged in one food contest, which was still organised by steemkidss community some weeks ago.
Okro soup recipe 😋
Okro soup is the simplest and most affordable with a small budget to prepare. So, I'm going to review all the soup items that I bought in Nigeria currency.
. Dry fish 1,000
. Okro 900
. Skin meat 500
. Stockfish 600
. Salt
. Palm oil 400
. Four Seasoning cube 100
. Bushmango 200
The cost of it total is 3,700 naira converting to steem currency is 13steem .
1st.
I washed the okro before I started cutting it in smaller pieces, and I also divided it into two. I grounded one part of the okro with my slicer to help the bushmango to make the soup thicker.
2nd.
I have to wash the skin meat and cut it with my stockfish and the dry fish . Just to prepare everything to be ready before cooking.
3rd.
Place your pot on fire and add a normal quantity of water before you put the water. First, check the quantity of the okro. That's what we determined the limit of water you should add. After that, i put my stockfish and skin meat to cook well.
4th.
When it was already boiling, I added plamoil, seasoning cubes, pepper, and bushmango, and then i closed it to hit very well so that the bushmango we dissolve well.
5th.
After some minutes, I added the grounded okro because my bushmango was too small to make the soup thick.
6th.
It was after some minutes i tested it, and i discovered the soup is lacking seasoning. here, I have to add one cube to it . Then i have to add up the okro that I cut.
After some minutes, my okro soup is ready, but remember not to leave it too long because it will start to burn.
Thanks for visiting this post. Have a wonderful day 🤝 using the medium to invite @damithudaya @yahnel @dirapa @xubair to participate in this contest.
This is a nice delicacy, it helps in building the blood.
This is the kind of soup I like eating, not because I love okra soup but because of all these obstacles I'm seeing inside the soup.
Guy you are a rich kid oo, because this economy hardship no reach your end.
@missyleo I appreciate your comment. No matter how the nigeria economy is man will survive. To make a simple soup in this country you must spend thousands of naira. I don't know if it's only in lagos that's happening like that or is everywhere.
Here in Akwa Ibom State, there's nothing like small soup, you have to prepare your pocket well before you can cook
My dear this our country is too annoying 😑
