Being different🤷🏻
Growing up,somehow Lynda felt like she was different.
Her eyes were brown and her teeth bent, some were even broken!
She was the last born in the family of five;her dad, mom, elder twin brother and sister, who were always together were perfect, more like she was adopted🤔🙄!
She didn't get the love from her parents because they were always busy working and her siblings were always sticking to themselves, more like she was invisible😶.
She grew up lonely and it affected her social life, no friends, no one to confide in,she was all by herself! Alone.
She had always dreamt of a fairytale life, having the whole world wanting her, having a perfect life.. In reality she was a loner, somehow a sickler cause she was always falling ill and people mocked her, sometimes attempted suicide but deep down she knew there was something better waiting for her and there was a purpose for her existence.
Everything didn't seem cool, she realized she didn’t think, feel, or look like her peer group. Though she was very intelligent but everyone called her boring because she loved being by herself, people called her a weirdo.
At some point she wanted to feel like she wasn’t a freak. She tried everything to fit in,it was really hard to fit in. She was in love with a great guy but he never noticed her "he never saw her"
She had turned into this person she didn’t like for the sole purpose of “fitting in.”
But at the same time she hated what she was, she hated being stupid, oversensitive,a daydreamer,a fairytale life, prince charming, sad and lonely.
She wasn’t happy with her physical appearance, she had a smaller boobs, a funny curve, she looked like she was fifteen years old when she was already twenty five,no curves, just straight legs!
Then she had an encounter with someone and made her realize a whole lot.
She realized there was nothing wrong with her, she mustn't fit in because she was unique the way she was and it doesn't matter if her boobs or bum were bigger or not, she was the lady she always wanted to be and loving herself or privacy wasn't bad.
Its cool to be different and its unique to be me😜👸🏻!
I love this lyric on being different by Jessie J – "Who You Are"
Don’t lose who you are, in the blur of the stars
Seeing is deceiving, dreaming is believing
It’s okay not to be okay
Sometimes it’s hard, to follow your heart
But tears don’t mean you’re losing, everybody’s bruising
There’s nothing wrong with who you are.
