Hello friends , I hope we all are trying all possible means to stay in peace in this world full of angry people and am glad you all are doing fine. I will be participating in an Interesting contest titled "Navigating Through Conflicts" in steem for Nigeria community.

We all know that Conflict simply refers to a disagreement or an argument between a person or group of people, this can simply be a fight, struggle or battling with each other, nowadays conflict full our daily life.

How do you manage to stay calm during and argument ?

To manage to stay calm during an argument, there are several things I always do, Here are a few:

  • Taking a deep breath: When I feel myself getting heated, I do take a few deep breaths. This helps to calm me down.

  • Using a method: I keep repeating a phrase to myself that will help me to stay calm, such as "I am in control" or "This is not worth getting upset about."

  • Counting to 10: when an argument develops between me and some one I will Count to 10 before responding to someone else's words or actions,this help me to calm down and respond in a more constructive and peaceful manner.

  • Praying: I will jux bow my head down I will then ask God to gv me his spirit to guide me, after that I will stay calm and keep listening to what the person was saying.

Why is it important to listen carefully during a disagreement ?

Listening carefully during an argument is important. Here's why I said so:

  • It helps me to understand why the other person feels a certain way.

  • It helps to make sure that both are talking about the right thing.

  • It prevent misunderstandings and confusion,which can lead to more arguments.

  • It shows respect to the other person and care about what they think,even if they don't agree with what they are saying.

By listening carefully during an argument, we can find a solution that works for argument that was about to start or already started.

How does understanding someone's else feelings help in resolving conflict?

For me ,Understanding another person's feelings helps to resolve conflict because it allows me to understand why they are upset or angry. By knowing why they feel the way they do, I can work together to find a solution that makes both of us happy.

For example, if my friend is angry because there one particular thing which I always do ,that he don't like and which brings misunderstanding, by understanding that he value punctuality, i can find a solution that works for both of us. I can agree to adjust and promise not to do it anymore.

What can we do to control our anger during an argument?

The best and simple thing we can do when we get angry, is just to take some deep breathes and count from 1 to 10 before saying anything.We should also help to listen to what the other person is saying and to understand their point of view,this can help also.

And we should try to avoid using sentences that can make the other person very angry. Instead, we should try to find a way to solve the problem that works for both.

If We are still feeling angry, it might be helpful to take a break from the argument to calm down, and have a little prayer asking God to give his spirit to guide our heart and mind.

With all this we can control our anger, and by praying, understanding others feelings, listening to others , staying calm and counting from 1 to 10 for our mind to cool will really helps us.
