Tour of " my town in ten pictures" continues. by @emjeak steem
Introduction
Greetings highly esteemed steemians. I trust we all had a great day. We are going to tour another part of my town. We are going to see sites around NGWA ROAD, AND ENVIRONS Before we embark on the tour, let us use few minutes to familiarize ourselves with Ngwa road and environs.
NGWA ROAD is a major road that starts from Asa road and terminats at ABA waterside. This road has some of the popular structures that ABA is known for eg : [1]NEW MARKET, [2] GOOD MORNING MARKET, [3] SECOND OGBORHILL BRIDGE, AND MANY MORE Let's begin our tour, shall we, our first stop will be the new market.
Location 1
This is the popular and ever busy new market along Ngwa road, but unfortunately it was knocked down for reconstruction since last year, hopefully soon it will be completed. Buyers and sellers come to this market daily. Our next Location will be :
Location 2
This beautiful one floor building belonging to Jehovah's witnesses, is a building with lots of space for parking vehicles. It has been closed since the covid-19 outbreak in early 2020, but was recently reopened [APRIL] 2022. The place is open for worship every Sunday and some week days.
Location 3
All the building are stores occupied by tailors, anything that can be sewn is available here. There are only few residents at the third floor.
This building is also spectacular because the length is more than 200 meters. Usually a plot of land in this area is 50meters width by 100meters length.
Location 4
This is the last market at Ngwa road, close to Aba waterside. It is a daily market, but not as popular as new market. They sell, mostly food stuffs (perishable and non perishable). From this market you will be looking at our next Location:
Location 5
Arrow (1) is the bridge that connects Ngwa road and ogborhill axis of ABA. Constructed by the then governor of Abia State, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu. (1999-2006).
Arrow (2) shows the Aba waterside. We have come to the end of Ngwa road.
Let us tour some of the roads clossest to Ngwa road. Our first stop will be Etche road:
Location 6
This is one of the many mini stadia in Aba where grass root football is played, this mini stadium attracts spectators daily, many talents have been discovered here, these talents are now playing for club sides either locally or abroad.
Location 7
ABA Shopping Mall, is beautifully designed but yet to be completed. When completed it will be a decent market. It's a beautiful sight. It's between at Anthony's hospital and Etche road field.
Location 8
The most popular hospital in this axis (contestible). They practice general medicine. The four floor building is all hospital, located at Ogwo road off Ohanku road it can be easily assessed through Ohanku road or Ngwa road.
Location 9
This five floor building is all residential, tenants occupy the whole building from ground floor to last floor. The building is located at Mbaise road, it has constant electricity and a functional bore hole. One of the oldest five floors in the City.
Location 10
Our last stop for today will be a relaxation spot. This hotel looks quiet from the outside but inside the hotel is always busy, I guess that is why they choose a spot close to the market/ a very busy street. This is Danfodio by East street, close to the new market.
Conclusion
It has been a great tour with you, highly esteemed steemians, please join me again for another interesting tour that will take us to a different part of the town. I'm glad you gave me your precious time and I do believe you enjoyed the tour, if so let me know how you feel, at the comment section. Have a good night rest.
Sharma hospital is a well equipped hospital, those days it was affordable and people troop in there for treatment especially pregnant woman.
Yes most of their patients are pregnant women. Of course you know, you're in the medical field. @beautybb
The 5 floor building is the most beautiful building here @emjeak, how do you capture it because all the images are so cute
Will love to read more about your city
Ngwa road has many beautiful sight to behold and your pictures quality added more beauty to them.
Does it mean that good morning market only opens in the morning hours alone or why is it called as such?
Thanks for being our tour guide
@patience90.
(Hahahaha) That name good morning market even amuses me, and I even asked the same question as you the very first time I heard that name good morning market. That's just the name, but for a fact they start very early in the morning, while most people are still snoozing in bed. I appreciate your time in reading my post. Best wishes
