Prove yourself as the best artist for the week

Greetings and I welcome you all to my blog, it's @emmaboy23 from Nigeria and today I decided to take part in this contest organized by @dequeen titled : prove yourself as the best artist for the week. Art is not merely about technical skills it is also about evoking emotions. This drawing of a horse does exactly that, resonating with viewers on a deeper level. Without wasting much time, I will be showing you how I made this drawing of a horse.

DRAWING MATERIALS

• A4 paper
• pencil
• eraser and
• sharpener

STEP BY STEP PROCESS

step I

I began by getting my white paper and started drawing the head of my horse, which includes it's eyes, ears, nose and mouth.

Then I went ahead to draw the hairs at the neck of the horse and I also drew it's two front legs first.

Then I completed drawing the body and the two back legs and also drew it's tail as well.

step 4

In this step, I then drew some grasses and added some details to my drawing. Then using my pencil colored the hair at the neck black.

I then also coloured it's tail black using my pencil as shown below.

Finally I then outline my drawing using my pencil so that it would be bold and clear, then I shaded the grasses using my pencil.

How long did it take you to complete your drawing and how do you feel about it

It took me approximately 1 hour to complete my drawing. For some time now I stopped drawing due to my busy schedule but recently I have started again and whenever I finish drawing especially this one I felt a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction.
