THE DIARY GAME : 06 AUGUST, 2020 : SING-ALONG THURSDAY

Dear Diary,

It was a beautiful Thursday morning, I had just got off the phone with my cousin, who is in SSS3 (Senior Secondary school 3), and will be returning to school, since the federal government of Nigeria has decided to open up schools for graduating and promotional students . And my cousin will be writing her senior WAEC (West Africa Examination Council) for a quest and journey into the university world. I will be taking her to her school which is GSS Bwari (Girls Secondary School Bwari). It is a 40-45minutes drive. I must say, it was a bitter experience for me, but I will tell you what happened to me in a jiffy.

As usual, I ran through my routine as quickly as possible, cleaning, washing, reading, looking at the system, my novel, bathing and then my preparation. Me and my cousin set out for her school. And thirty minutes into the journey, it happened, one reckless driver got to close to me, because the road is very narrow and can only access two cars at a go, that is, one coming and the other going at the opposite direction. One per single lane, so, as I stepped on my brake to avoid the oncoming guy in jeep that was driving to fast to overtake the car in his front, another reckless driver coming behind me could not control his car, and the next I had is gboooooooaaaaaa behind me. He had smashed his car behind mine. And when I got down, I was very angry, because the sole person responsible for the accident had already zoom off. Of course, he won't be around to see the damage he has caused. I was left with the driver that smashed me, who was all along begging me not to be angry that it was the the guy in jeep that caused the whole incident, which was true. So there was nothing much I could do, than to forgive and moved on towards mine journey. It has happened, it has happened.

I got to her school, dropped her off, and went straight for my business, with anger all over me for the unnecessary expenses that has accrued on my head for that single journey to Bwari. But it's family, there is nothing I could do about it. So my work went on smoothly for the rest of the day. It's Thursday, and one of my favorite radio always call it sing along Thursday, as the play good music to spice up your day. And boy did they spice-up my day, yes they did, as I was dancing and forgetting my woes earlier in the morning hour.

photo: Me listening to the music of sing along Thursday, had to off it, to hide the station. I will show you the station next time.

And then the rest of the day took care of itself, got home, cooked and eat by myself, then I set out for bed. Though a little peep of CNN on my Dstv now app, to know what's happening out there. Then I call it a day for the day. I slept around eleven PM, Nigerian time.
