So today I will talking about nurses
Their duties
The difference between a nurse and a doctor
Why you need to thank a nurse
ENJOY..
THE DUTIES OF A NURSE
nurses always work in hospitals or outpatient facilities, where they provide care to patients by administering medications, looking after and monitoring patients' state of health, maintaining records and communicating with doctors. They are also depended upon to give direction and supervision to nurse aides and home health aides.
Beyond the physical support and care they provide, nurses may also provide emotional support to patients and patients' family members. They may also educate patients and the general public on disease management, special diet plans and medical conditions, provide information on home care after their treatment and lecture individuals or patients on how to administer self medication or complete other self-care tasks.
Nurses employed by physician offices and other types of facilities may have different duties depending on the level and type of care being offered.
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A NURSE AND A DOCTOR
Doctors are formally trained in medicine, meaning that the treatment of disease through medication, medical procedure and sometimes surgery.
Nurse practitioners, who also are registered nurses, are formally trained in taking care of the sick and have good knowledge of how to administer, treat and manage many common ailments.
In some cases, they perform the same functions, which includes
- Identifing and treating acute and chronic illnesses
- Order and analyze labs and other diagnostic tests
Prescribe medications.
Where doctors and nurse practitioners differ most is in the time spent on their different educations that is school attended and the types of patients they choose to see.
Nurse practitioners also focus deeply on education. They mostly complete graduate-level courses and can spend hundreds of hours performing supervised clinical work. But they see patients at every time of their lives, and typically don’t specialize in any one area. They can function well as primary care providers because their background includes knowledge of both holistic and wellness-oriented programs, which spotlight education, risk identification and preventative care.
THREE REASONS WE NEED TO THANK A NURSE
There are so many reasons we need to really appreciate nurse but I will just talk on three reasons we need to thank them.
1.THEY ARE PATIENT COUNSELLOR
There is no one you can trust more in the hospital than the nursing staff. They are true patient advocates.
Remember to always do everything you can do to support a nurse in their
efforts as a patient advocate or counsellor, if a nurse is urging you to see a doctor about an issue of your care, just do it. Nurses always have the patients best interest at mind, and they deserve a five start from me in matters of Counselling.
2. NURSES ARE LOVERS OF HUMANITY
It's does not matter if a person is good or bad, one of the most admirable features of the nurse is that they demonstrate the ability to care to both the good and bad, and the treatment is equal.
Nurses ensure that every patient gets the level of care they deserve as a member of the human race. It takes an amazing kind of soul to treat every segment of society equally.
3. THEIR BRAVERY IS NOTEWORTHY
Because nurses treat every member of society equally, they are exposed to the best and the worse it has to offer. While interacting with the worse of society, they can be insulted, shouted at and even attacked. It takes a beautiful mind to bravely face a work environment where you will be exposed to some of the dregs of society. Nurses walk through the doors of the hospital every day knowing that they may face a mentally ill or criminally desperate person who could make their work dangerous and challenging.
Nurses are lovely people
Appreciate a nurse today
