CoinPot has NOT been hacked - your data/earnings are safe!

We have been made aware that there are some posts on forums etc suggesting that CoinPot has been hacked. We have fully investigated this and can confirm that there has been no breach of our systems. All of your private and sensitive information (i.e. passwords) are securely hashed before being safely stored in our databases so it is impossible for us or anyone else to read these, even if we were ever hacked in the future. We follow all industry best-practices to ensure the highest level of security.

The main part of the problem is that many users continue to use the same sign-in credentials (i.e. email/password) on multiple sites. Therefore when one of these other sites is hacked or leaks password data this can then also be used to sign in to CoinPot. This is what we believe has happened in this case. All accounts that we know to be affected by this have now been locked to prevent unathorised access - users will need to reset their password in this case.

Despite some warnings from users against it, we were initally very happy to partner with Coinbase and offer this as an extra withdrawal option. However over the last few months the withdrawal integration with Coinbase has presented a number of serious technical issues that have been difficult and expensive to resolve. This has now reached a point were it is just not technically possible for us to continue offering this option.

Therefore with immediate effect (28th Feb 2018) we have taken the decision to remove the Coinbase withdrawal option for Bitcoin Core/Cash and Litecoin.

All pending Coinbase withdrawals have been cancelled and the funds returned to your CoinPot account.
For the relatively small group of users who withdraw to Coinbase (less than 10% of all withdrawals) we offer our apologies that this option is no longer available. However we recommend alternative withdrawal either directly to your wallet (free, even for Bitcoin core!) or to one of the other online wallet/microwallet providers: Xapo, Spectrocoin, Faucethub or Faucet System.
Good news! Changes to bitcoin core wallet withdrawal limit and fees

As you may know, due to recent significant improvements to the bitcoin network the current mining fees are extremely low and appear to remain so for the foreseeable future.

Therefore we are very happy to announce that we have made the following changes to CoinPot bitcoin core wallet withdrawal limit and fees...

The minimum withdrawal limit has been reduced from 0.00025 btc (25,000 satoshi) down to 0.0001 btc (10,000 satoshi)
Withdrawal fees have been completely removed! Previously there was a 0.00002 btc (2,000 satoshi) fee for withdrawals of less than 0.001 btc (100,000 satoshi)
PLEASE NOTE: If the network mining fees rise again then we will of course have to review this and we may need to re-introduce withdrawal fees and/or raise the withdrawal limit again.
