Paedophilia - Are We Doing Enough?

There's been a lot of weird reports on Paedophilia and child sex trafficking lately that makes me uncomfortable and confused. A lot of us cringe at the thought of children being subjected to sexual abuse in the hands of perverted adults. Little wonder then that there is widespread condemnation whenever we come across such occurences. Ignoring the general fury though, how effective has the fight against paedophilia been? My answer is 'not very'.

For instance, the laws against Child marriages are still quite lax in most states with loopholes that could be exploited. I was trying to get some actual figures and came across 200,000+ reported cases, albeit in 2016, with children as young as 10 years old subject to this abuse. You'd think if it were really urgent to the system it would have been addressed by now.

We've even come across scenarios where paedophilia has attempted to be normalized. First it was with comparisons to the gay rights movement by actual paedophiles themselves, then it was through the regular 'guilt trip' wars where some mischievous media outlets try to source pity for paedophiles by portraying paedophilia as this uncontrollable demon that completely takes over the hosts, which of course absolves the host from taking any responsibility. Right now there's an admitted paedophile running for congress in Virginia, allowed to by the loopholes available in the system.

Also annoying is the use of critical issues like this in my view as a cheap political move by some dastardly individuals in collaboration with the system. People now use alleged child sexual abuse cases to ride opponents down and get elected - without really caring about how to go about fixing the challenge of child sexual abuse. I find it sickening but it appears am in a political minority.

The effects of sexual abuse on a child, for those who don't know are extremely detrimental both physically and mentally in the long term. Worse more, being subjected to these horrors at an early age robs them of their innocence and their childhood.

If we really care about fighting paedophilia, child sex trafficking and other forms of abuse, it should show in the legislation and not as 'juicy' stories on the newspaper pages.

I certainly never thought of the stories as juicy as you put it. Just sick. I think the majority of the population still has their heads in the sand about this issue. These stories & how wide spread it is, literally are not yet getting through & if they do, for some strange reason, MOST of the PUBLIC seems to want to run the other way when it's even mentioned. The ISSUE must be Clearly Brought to the FOREFRONT FIRST, before anything can be done about it in a societal level. Nothing will ever show up on LEGISLATION, because they're packed with PEDOS. A certain % of the American Public has to DEMAND the Change & ZERO TOLERANCE on this. The bigger ?s for me revolve around just why & how so many of the American Public Ignore this issue & HOW or IF it's going to be SOLVABLE. If the % of American Public WILL NOT do anything. Then the next step as ridiculous as it sounds is going to have to be for Like-Minded Americans to branch off & form their own communities- because that would mean, the future will only be getting a whole lot worse in many/every way- instead of better.

It was once risible when the radical Left would vociferously condemn paedophilia in principle and attack their enemies with the accusation, but meanwhile coyly defend it when perpetrated by Muslims and other such "legitimate victims," their allies. You would've thought it illiberal of the proponents of the Sexual Revolution to simply claim to be against paedophilia; not to mention doubly hypocritical.

That is a big problem, which is practically not dedicated the time it deserves within the political discussion, in fact, a considerable number of politicians is directly and indirectly involved in the traffic network of people, including children, and is something quite despicable.

Sometimes I feel, that people should organize and make drastic decisions about it, but we live in a world where everyone cares exclusively for himself. And that must change.
