Thoughts, Themes and Questions -- The Capricorn Sun Signs Talk About Life -- January 4, 2017

Capricorn is the Cardinal Earth Sign of the Zodiac. As a Cardinal Sign he is assertive and self-starting. He is quick to act, able and willing to change -- or create -- the conditions he wants. As an Earth Sign, he is practical, objective, reliable and interested in producing tangible results. More than any other sign, Capricorn is a builder whose creations are meant to last and appreciate in value.

Capricorns are leaders. All the Cardinal Signs are. Aries, Cancer and Libra are Capricorn's companions in this category. Like Aries, Capricorn tends to dominate his environment -- including his family circle, his professional group and his social network. He thinks in terms of slow construction on projects that take time and patience to develop. He uses step-by-step methods and time-proven techniques.
He sets his sights on longevity ... and maximum value when investing his time and assets into a venture. He certainly wants a good return on that investment, but he's perfectly willing to wait for his dividends if he can see good growth and accelerating potential. He takes chances only when he has to ... and he does his homework ahead of time to minimize surprises and the possibility of loss. (He really hates that!!)
He's also keen on maximizing long-term gains. He's not a hit-and-run person -- not in building, not in investing, not in relationships, nor in vision. When he commits himself, it's for the long-haul -- and he looks for partners and team-players who feel the same way.
Everything he touches is cultivated with an eye for the future ... and building the structures it takes to support this kind of enterprise. His expectations are always high, but so is his dedication to make things happen.

A Prediction for the Coming Year
Secrecy figures into your long-term goals this year. You will play matters very close to the chest so as not to squander that advantage.
Merging your talents, abilities, resources, vision, and investments with others who have assets you need to succeed is part of your concern ... and part of what you are protecting.
Special circumstances may be coming together in your life this year -- or you may forge a unique opportunity you are not willing to lose. Hence the secrecy ... and hence the willful insistence that everything and everyone you need to succeed fall into line exactly as they should.
Even if you're not a Capricorn ---> This theme is at work somewhere in your life -- affecting a very specific area of concern rather than "life in general." With Astrology, it's possible to know what's happening in your life and work with the prevailing energies to make the most of this special time and its opportunities.

Are you aware of this reluctance to reveal much about your goals this year? What exactly do you hope to gain by keeping so much of this information to yourself?
Whose assets and cooperation do you plan to bring on board to help your ventures?
What needs to come together? Who needs to fall in line? How do you envision the results if or when this all happens? What is your contingency plan if it doesn't?

Everyone has Capricorn energy operating somewhere in his life, influencing his character and attitudes and giving him the experiences that will develop his Capricorn skills ... regardless of his actual Sun Sign. Astrologers and students of Astrology know this, but it's not common knowledge for most people.
So, do you know where this is happening for you? Do you know how this affects your character? Do you know the advantages it offers in at least one specific set of important life interests?
There's a lot Astrology can teach you about your approach to life, your natural skills and challenges and the way you were designed to operate. For a tidbit of insight about how you were built to use Capricorn energy, upvote this post and leave your birth data as a comment below. (Day, month, year, place and time if you know it.) Sorry, you really do have to be honest here, otherwise what you get will be useless.

If you've always known there was more to Astrology than Sun Sign material and the three line daily horoscope in the newspaper, climb aboard and follow this blog. You'll find a world of wisdom detailing how you were designed to work with life ... and why you are the way you are -- all in quick-to-read, easy-to-digest-and-remember, written-in-plain-English essays that offer plenty of food for thought.
Little by little, I'm doing a set of articles that talks about all the elements in your horoscope and what they have to say about you. If you "know something" about Astrology -- or know something about your chart placements, that will help you get more from this material.
If you don't ... well, this is one place you can learn. We all have to start somewhere ... because we aren't born knowing this stuff. Meanwhile, if you've never seen your horoscope ... and don't have a clue how to work with it, maybe it's time to find out. There are lots of "chart services" on the internet -- some of whom produce decent, readable charts "for free" and some are so awful and confusing that even I can't read them easily -- and I've worked with charts for decades.
One extremely user-friendly chart site is here: AstroLabe I recommend them if you want a simple, easy-to-read chart. I think they even give a reasonable little interpretive reading of your horoscope as part of the package. You'll need to know your birth information -- day, month, year, time and geographical place. Without all that your chart will have limited accuracy.
Or, if you want to get serious and really talk about this, upvote this post and start a conversation in the comments section sometime in the next six days from the time of publication. We'll go from there depending on what you want to know.

Questions about any of this? -- Upvote this post and talk to me in comments. It's a terrific way to build value for yourself and the community ... and it will give me ideas of what to write about in future posts. Believe me there is lots to say about the way The Sun, The Moon -- and all the other elements in a horoscope, all the other components of Astrology -- work together to interpret you and your story -- and what it all means to the person you've become.

Although sometimes the background pictures in our visual essays support the topic and text, they don't always. Sometimes the connection is clear. Sometimes it's symbolic and subtle. Sometimes, there's no connection at all.
The scenes depict landscapes and natural features, buildings and wildlife. They were chosen because they show something lovely or interesting ... or simply because the photo appealed to me.
Our spectacular and remarkable planet is changing at astonishing speed. Rarely are these changes for the better. Few people seem to know ... or care ... or have the will and power to do anything about this. It may not be long before the world humans have known and lived in for centuries is forever lost. We certainly won't be able to make repairs as fast as we destroyed it.
So a few years ago I began collecting pictures of the way things were ... and still are for now, a record of the beauty we have while it is still ours to love and honor.
The photos here are part of that collection, with sincere thanks to the artists who saw these moments ... and with their cameras ... preserved them. All of us at Enchanted Spirit are profoundly grateful to them for their generosity and skill ... and for the added grace, depth and dimension their art brings to ours.
