Good dear family of Steemit, today I want to teach you A beautiful trip that I made Along with my family, my sister and companion Gran @ferramses and @lissalas friend, this weekend if we happened to celebrate the day of the cable car system "Mukumbarí" mother from Mérida Venezuela. Mukumbarí means in indigenous voice "place where the sun sleeps". This denomination was given by the first inhabitants to what is now known as the imposing Sierra Nevada.

This cable car system has 5 stations, the first base station "Barinitas", where one buys tickets, waits for the first cable car, and want to eat something there is a food fair, and several stores to buy any souvenir.
Our cabin was at 11:06 a.m., so while we waited we got a taste and ate the blissful Andean cakes at the Andean fair, and headed to the queue to get up and start our beautiful family adventure.
That day the weather was very cloudy, but it was still amazing what one saw on the way to the 2nd station; One of the workers told us that first we had to go up all the stations and after going down one could witness and enjoy the services of each station; in each cabin fit about 60 people, I know is great jejej.

So if our tour started at the last station, the 5 station is "Pico Espejo" (4,765 masl), it's the second time I've visited the cable car and both times have been two different views, this opportunity the view was totally cloudy , but equally beautiful, here is the monument to Our Lady of the Snow dominates the landscape of the Sierra Nevada de Mérida with its 3.5 m high and 5 tons of Carrara marble.
"Did you know: It was made in Italy with Carrara marble and is known as the Patron of the Alpinists. It was on September 12 of that year when an act under intense cold, in which some 300 people participated, was placed on the pedestal that currently occupies Mirror Peak, according to the historian and mountaineer Carlos Chalbaud Zerpa.
On that occasion, the last section of the cable car system served as a stage for the mass where Merideños and people from different parts of the country expressed their faith in the image sculpted by the artist Walter Ribani. the Virgen de las Nieves is surrounded by a plaza-mirador from which visitors can observe the spectacular, especially if the day is clear, of the Venezuelan plains, the lake of Maracaibo and the Sierra Nevada del Cocuy, in Colombia. "
Well, together with my sister and my friend, we agreed that Steemit and the team @cervantes will also join us!

The fourth station "Loma Redonda (4.045 masl)"? In Round Hill is a group of people typical of the town of Los Nevados, who offer mule rides through a unique path of moorland. If we walk a little we can see up close, the lagoons "La Negra" and "La Colorada" also called "Laguna de Los Anteojos".

The third station "LA AGUADA" is located at 3,452 meters above sea level. In it we lose sight of the city, now the landscape is decorated by hundreds of frailejones, typical and exclusive plant of the Andes, but due to the problems of rain and weather we could not walk between the mountains but we still enjoyed their facilities.!

The second station "The mountain" we did not see much, we headed to the restaurant "CHÍA", inside the restaurant there is a beautiful and large terrace, with a beautiful view of all merida.

And well this has been our whole adventure summarized from the weekend in celebration of Mother's Day.

All the photos were taken between the three @ lissalas, @ ferramses and me.
