The Gardener's Son - Original Poem Written for You! - by Enjoy with Troy!

With loving hands that bled and hurt,
to gently toil and form the dirt,
A gardener worked each spot with care
preparing soil he stripped it bare.

Each seed he placed within the earth
with prayerful hope its rise to birth.
The sun would come each day anew
The rain to cleanse this seed, it grew.

But while the gardener was away
some friendly weeds came out to play.
With stinging thistles and the thorn
This gentle flower was all forlorn.

The sun and rain that gave its rise
the weeds had stolen. Tis no surprise.
Without water's cleanse or sun's breath
This tender life would find it's death.

With tearful heart and trembling voice
Through the wind it made a choice.
"Help me! Help me!" It spoke that day.
"With sin and sorrow I did play."

"I want to live and to be
The way the gardener created me."
I gentle man did hear this plea
And saved it's life and set it free.

From the soil he pulled each weed.
Thistles and thorns, his hands did bleed.
The pain and hurt he did not care
For he loved this flower so fare.

And who is this gentle man you ask?
The gardener's son who came to task.
And like this flower who grew to be
He gives this hope to you and me.

For he will free you from weeds of sin
If you let him dwell within.
But my friend you have a choice.
Oh choose to speak...he'll hear your voice.

God speaks in wonderful ways. I heard his voice tonight as he created this poem. I hope he spoke to your heart as well! I find his voice in the stillness of the night. It is soft but it is beautiful.
