The truth is, I have many favorite Bible verses but I’ll just share one knowing that this thread is offering us more verses from our co-steemians.

Proverbs 16:31

“Gray hair is a crown of beauty when it is found in the way of righteousness.”

In our recent status quo, wherein technology and modernization are in their golden ages, several beauty products and medical procedures are everywhere. When we watch television or even simple browsing on the internet, we will surely see lots of advertisements about enhancing our physical appearance. There's nothing wrong with being body conscious which in fact a good sign that we are taking good care of ourselves. Who doesn't want to look young for the rest of our lives? Of course, we want to be “forever sweet 16”.

We can't control the natural cycle of humanity. No matter how hard we try to fight the signs of aging, we will never succeed. Yes, we can at least slow down it but we must accept the truth, time will come that no amount of money can save us from reaching our “old days”. Proverbs 16:31 reminds us that we should not worry when this moment arrives. I am beautiful, you are beautiful and we will always be beautiful in God's preference.

Let us all learn to love our gray hair and wrinkles. It is our visible trophy of how brave we run the race and how strong we face the battlefield called “Life”. We must use our remaining energy not for finding the perfect potion to stay fresh but for finding the right path towards God's approval. Let us invest not in expensive beauty products but in creating “good products that are more expensive than any beauty”. We must aim to have our Lord's acceptance rather than pleasing the public standards. We will get old and die someday, but let us be in peace happily knowing that our Father in Heaven can proudly say that, “this old man did a job well-done”.
