The road to Infinity War | Doctor Strange #Spotlight
And we've finally arrived to the last stop. I'm not a big fan of this film because I don't like the leading actor, however, it is a very good film and visually, one of the best of Marvel. Besides, it's fundamental for our way to this last movie.
Doctor Strange
The fourteenth movie of the MCU presents us with something the Thor films only had barely touched: magic. At the hand of the Sorcerer Supreme, Stephen Strange, the film (dir. by Scott Derrickson) introduces the concept of magic like any other Marvel film up to this point.
The movie is about the introduction and evolvement of its leading character but the principal reason why it's important to us is the fact that one of the most important objects to the plot, just like the Orb and the Scepter, hides the last Infinity Stone we'll see until Infinity War - but not the last of the count.
Eye of Agamotto
While learning to become a sorcerer, Strange finds a way to bend time with the Eye of Agamotto and even uses it to save the day, his friend Wong and the entire Sanctuary - after leaving Dormammu (one of the villains of this film) trapped in a time loop, which then Dormammu gets tired of and agrees with Strange that he'll leave Earth if he undos the loop-.
After this, Strange returns the Eye of Agamotto to Kamar-Taj (a remote place where he learned the arts of magic) and Wong reveals what we expected: inside the Eye was the Time Stone. Again, the fifth Gem was kept away from the rest.
And here ends our road that has its climax in the brand new Avengers: Infinity War, with Thanos finishing up his evil plan that he's been cooking since at least 2012 and that has kept us all waiting since then.
