US: Georgia Next State In Line To Accept Crypto For Taxes, Licenses
First Arizona and now the state of Georgia has introduced legislation to accept cryptocurrencies for payment of state taxes and licenses. These two states are forging ahead. Will other states in the U.S. follow?

Georgia is following other forward thinking states by introducing legislation regarding cryptocurrencies. Georgia Senate Bill 464 proposes "the commissioner shall accept as valid payment for taxes and license fees any cryptocurrency, including but not limited to Bitcoin, that uses an electronic peer-to-peer system". And like the Arizona legislation the commissioner has no longer than 24 hours to convert the cryptocurrency to U.S. dollars.
The legislation in Arizona is further along which could make Arizona the first U.S. states to accept cryptocurrencies for state tax payments.
