**My Neighborhood Watch #81 - Reporting Events Around us**

Hello, Happy New Year to everyone on steemit platform and @steem4Nigeria community in particular,it a pleasure to be a participant in this contest,my first contest participation of the year 2025.
I used this opportunity to appreciate all my fellow contestants for always participating in the contest through out last season, and let me use this opportunity to appreciate rhe organizing body of this contest @xkool24 for always putting up this contest,it really helps us to have ideas about what is going on or happing in our different environment.
So thank you sir for your service on steemit platform.
My this week report is observing the new year activities on the first day of January 2025.

It was no More news in my neighborhood yesterday the 1st day of January,2025 that citizens of the state and visitors who leaves in the Uyo metropolis were feeling so excited to see a New Year, and as a culture, they take it serious to celebrate with friends and relatives, some of the people leave their operatives location s to their different villages to celebrate with their families. Due to this effect,the Uyo Main Town was so quiet and only few persons were around whereas others were also celebrating at home, others went to their small scale business point to while away time. This was confirmed, when My Neighborhood Watch Reporter @etette take a Walk around some street and major road in uyo Metropolis.

As I take a walk from around from my location in Nwaniba road to Ibom Plaza, the economic activities were not booming as in normal business activities day,it shows how effective the New Year festival is to people and how important it is to them.
When observing the movement of vehicle,it was so poor, the main road of Aka Road was empty as you can see vehicles were not much,at least it shows how serious people take the day.

Another environment I walk around was Ikot Efiiok street off Nwaniba road,a community closer to the University of Uyo, Uyo Akwa Ibom State Nigeria,it was no more news that the occupants of the area both indigent and non indigents were found going to their different places of their choice to celebrate with their families and friends,to this effect the street was also suffering a set back of low economic activities, the street was so dull and few shops were on sales.

The only shop that people buys their goods was Joy Chi Store,so some persons do drove down there to buy one or two things.
How ever,it really shows how important every 1ts of January is important to people,it's significant.

So it was really a remarkable day to me @etette to have this documentary for My Neighborhood Watch #81 - Reporting Events Around us for record Purposes.
